A QUIET café in Hobart has become the unlikely setting for a bold new chapter in Australian public life. We would note that Isaiah’s prophecies in respect of biblical Israel were fulfilled in Christ and long before the modern nation state of Israel, which was originally proposed by the so-called father of Zionism Theodor Herzl to be a secular, European-style state settled largely by Jews.
While the highly militarized state of Israel could be seen as something of a bulwark against Islamist regimes, Israel and its worldwide networks have developed a highly corrupt system of political extortion and influence peddling as seen in the Epstein affair.

Abraham had tw sons: Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael (from which comes the Arabic race) was not born-again and remained a Gentile. Isaac was born-again and became a Jew. Isaac had two sons: Esau and Jacob. Esau was not born-again and remained a Gentile. Jacob was born again and became a Jew. All of Jacob’s sons were RACIALLY Jews (new nation: Israel). They were believers.
All people born from then on in the Old Testament and beyond were RACIAL JEWS, but not necessarily regenerate. The Jewish race from the Tribes of Israel is based on genes, not on regeneration as in the first three generations. This is why the phrase, “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” is often used. Others have the genes of Abraham, but not the genes of Isaac and Jacob. Example: Arabs. The Jews are a race which does not lose identification. German Jew, American Jew, etc.

Who are the “chosen”?

In the Gospels “the Jews” always referred to the Pharisees, the leadership of the country and its opposition to Jesus, never to the people of Israel in general.
If a verse is taken out of context it is possible to make the Bible seem to say almost anything. This is the usual type of deceit used by anti-semite deceivers, Satan’s little messengers.
I have to admire Tim Cranshaw for doing what he considers to be right in promoting the gospel. It takes some courage in a world which is increasingly anti-Christian.
However, with regard to the article, I would like to make several points.
Firstly, in Jesus’ temptation, Satan pointed out that he ruled the kingdoms of the world (Luke 4:5-6). and even though some politicians may claim to be Christian, their actions betray them. Look at Scott Morrison. Rarely do good men, especially Christians, get into parliament, and if they do, they either capitulate or are chucked out.
Secondly, Isaiah 14:1 has to be read in context with chapter 13 and 14:1-27. It is about the judgment of future Babylon, the dominant nation in the Fourth Kingdom (See Daniel 2;40; 7:23). The Israel referred to in that verse comprises the select remnant, chosen by God, to populate the new Israel in the Millennium. They will not be the arrogant, stubborn, self-righteous and deceiving Israelis of today (See Isaiah 65:2,5). They will be just the opposite, and be an example of righteousness to the whole world (Isaiah 61) – something God wanted with the original Israel. Like called and chosen Christians today, they will receive God’s Holy Spirit to motivate and guide them (Ezekiel 36:27). As Paul says, today’s Israelis have been cut out of the true vine because they did not believe God, but those who do believe in Jesus Christ will be grafted back in to the vine (Romans 11:20-24). He also makes the point that the unregenerate Israelite is the enemy of the Christian (Romans 11:28).
Thirdly, Christian Zionism is an oxymoron, unless the Zion referred to is the heavenly Zion. One cannot be a Christian and an (earthly) Zionist. Christianity is a personal spiritual relationship with our Creator – God the Father and Jesus Christ. Zionism, or Judaism, is the physical observance of the Law of Moses. The Law of Moses, as Paul says, was a schoolmaster, a means of belief, until the advent of Jesus Christ and the gift of faith (Galatians 3:22-24). Zionism is no longer necessary in the relationship with God. Those who think that one has to follow the demands of the Law of Moses and have a love for the nation of Israel, regardless of how that secular country behaves, lack an understanding of the Plan of God and Christianity. It’s ironic, but today’s Zionists are going to have to acknowledge the one Jew they hated and crucified as their messiah, redeemer and boss.
I agree with Cranshaw about praying for the nation, but we are not at the crossroads, we are at the edge of the cliff, and the prayer has to be mighty sincere and mighty loud.
