From Professor Ian Brighthope
The Main Points:
1. Milei highlighted Argentina’s progress and transformation into a “global example of fiscal responsibility” and commitment to solving inflation.
2. He declared that “winds of change are blowing in the West” and claimed credit for a growing “international alliance” of nations seeking freedom.
3. Milei strongly criticised what he called the “mental virus of woke ideology,” describing it as a “cancer” that needs to be removed from Western institutions.
4. He championed traditional Western values, describing the West as “the peak of the human species”.
5. Milei emphasised the economic reforms and his government’s achievements in reducing inflation and generating fiscal surpluses.
6.He attacked feminism, climate change policies, and other progressive policies and ideas as “heads of the same monster” aimed at justifying state expansion.
7. Milei launched a fierce defence of his “dear friend” Elon Musk against recent criticisms.
8. He urged global leaders to break free from old political formulas and embrace new ideas.
Milei’s speech reaffirmed his commitment to free-market reforms and cultural conservatism, while positioning Argentina as a model for other nations to follow. Australia needs leadership. We dont have it.

Dandy: “They do seem to like to take a ‘problem’, give a strong ‘reaction’ and then offer the ‘solution’. Which may not turn out to be a ‘solution’ at all.”
It’s certainly not a solution to our problem. But it is a solution to THEIR problem… how to install even greater control without us bucking up and thwarting their goals.
They much prefer that we back their “solution” as if it were for our own benefit.. 🙂

I’m not too sure Milei and his alliances are the soft touch ‘conservatives’ of yesteryear.
Look at someone like Bukele. You would think he was a hero for El Salvador but not necessarily.
Bukele suspended his Constitution under the premise of reigning in law and order while establishing a police state with mass arrests by the police and the military, and now people who were afraid of all the gangs are now afraid of the Government.
This is not something we hear about.
Bukele is also a proponent of cryptocurrency.
‘Liberalism’ may not be what we think it is.
They do seem to like to take a ‘problem’, give a strong ‘reaction’ and then offer the ‘solution’.
Which may not turn out to be a ‘solution’ at all.
Oh dear, is there a change of strategy rolling in?
Could it be that the narcissistic ego tripping Klaus and the Philanthropy Boys screwed up and blew the beans with the woke crap and the bosses are smelling a bit too much leakage?
Enter the repair men like Milei, Trump and others, yet to be installed, to put an ultra conservative finger in the hole in the dyke and install some discipline and obedience among the rabble.
Problem>Reaction>Solution! It’s a time honoured recipe. And the suckers ALWAYS keep falling for it. Go figure.

The wind turbines are an extravagance but in Denmark they seem to produce about half the total power, which presumably is exported to the grid including Germany, and re-imported as required. One might easily guess they benefit from Euro environment legislation which presumably pays extra for wind power.
So they are not so much an extravagance if you produce them locally, if your climate does not suit PV panels, and if you have a sizeable grid to distribute into, and if you are subsidized by the EU. Bottom line is they are famous for producing half the Danish kW hours required, I think the real figure is slightly over.
You should drop your other canards about Hertz adaptations, to anyone with PV panels on the roof they are obviously false, other than that you sometimes come up with some interesting points.
Nigel Farrage did nothing to stop wind turbines. He knows about them for sure. Nothing done. May be just a mouth.
The old videos of Harvey with his chainsaw were better but now for a talking head Nigel Farrage is 2nd only to Trump
Dandy asked, “Is ‘Woke’ yet dead in the water?
If not it could be on it’s last legs.”
Could be Dandy.
Today has been a day of coincidences and fate.
I went op – shopping with wifey, wax build up in my left ear, I missed a street number, she gave me a mouthful, bloody hell her jaw was going, road works, had to do a blockie and came across a shop on a back street not on her list, all was forgiven, went in, wifey collects old teapots 🤷♂️, there was a vase with a print of Davos on it, 8 bucks.
I was thinking it might be a collector’s item so picked it up checked out underneath it, made in Sevetin, blah blah, Czechia, turned it around, small hairline crack wow that’s sticky so put it straight back down.
The thought of possible uses other than for flowers had me using the hand dispenser on the counter.
‘Those who resist change,’
‘Those who grudgingly accept change,’
‘Those who insist upon re-applying the recipes of failure,’
‘And those of us who have fought our entire lives.’ (Javier Milei).
Be honest with yourselves, – which group were you?

We posted the Milei speech from the WEF site. It is genuine even though they shot themselves in the foot. Editor
Milei was certainly courageous to stand before the WEF and stake his anti-wokeism stand, and all that wokeism means, even accusing the WEF of the same.
For the conservative person this is a mind blowing, thank you Sir moment.
Is ‘Woke’ yet dead in the water?
If not it could be on it’s last legs.
Milei’s words (interpreted) don’t hold back;
“fanatical Climate Agenda, radical Feminism, self perception LGBT, bloody murderous Abortion, children being mutilated, fabricated transphobic, homophobic scandalous terms, indoctrinated centres disguised as Universities…”
and to call it out is then to be accused of being labelled “Nazi, xenophobic…” and every other phobic.
And this; “Bureaucrats who aspire to omnipotence!”
Ah such eloquence.
A Yes Minister unholy moment.
Argentina, the Country, had become “closed off to trade” and had become “infected with Socialism”…
I like that Milei referred to the “multilateral lending organisations that have been instruments of extortion…..while National Governments and the European Union have (obliged them)”
Mileu seemed to be talking out against the Monetary ‘Regulators’….
And that “the Political class is a referee AND stakeholder participating in the redistribution of wealth”…
That “there has to be a drastic reduction in the size of the State”
and a need “to root out this perverse system”…..
Then we look at his (stated) allies;
Elon Musk, PM Meloni (Italy), PM Bukele (El Salvador), PM Orban (Hungary), Trump (USA) and Netanyahu (Israel)
And what is Mileu wanting?
“Change”, “rules to be rewritten” to “usher in a new Golden Age”….
To him the “freedom cry resonates”….
He asks the WEF to participate “in good faith in this new paradigm…” and to World Leaders that it is “time to break free, to be bold, to dare to think…”
He emphasises more than once, the “right to life, liberty and property”
A bold speech for sure.
There. He said it.
The Libertarians have spoken.
As a World Leader, that’s what they all need to do if that’s what they truly believe.
Call out wokeism for what it truly is….but more importantly, do something about it.
That’s the hard part.
Milei’s recently revised gun laws have also proven very popular.
Crime has immediately dropped, as criminals now realise their intended victims can now shoot them in the face.
Gun ownership has always been a good deterrent of crime.
Javier Milei is an economist. He knows a thing or two.
Australia has to put up with the likes of Bowen who knows nothing about electricity generation though wants more wind turbines. Can it get worse.
What a great address. Some real home truths stated. I would of loved to see some of their faces and reaction at the WEF as he delivered this speech.

One wonder were Milei is geting his instructions… from Israel or the tunnels beneath New York synagogues.
Is it just me, folks, or does Milei remind you of a Werewolf?
Good luck to him and Argentina, look at all the shit they’ve been through for decades now despite their abundance of human capital and natural resources, about time they had a good run.
Seems to me it’s Australia’s turn for a generation of rolling economic and societal mayhem if not outright extinction, and as they say, shit rolls downhill and every nook and cranny of the entire Australian fake corporate governmental edifice is filled with it.
