Neville, some of them might be holding property in trusts, trusts the State can’t touch. I don’t know if that means such properties are allodial in status.

First Nations people, as long as they can prove a claim to being First Nations people, have no such problem from what I see. As there was never a treaty struck back in the day, it looks like they still can claim allodial title, the rest of us cannot. To sign off on the control of title one needs certain legal qualifications, eg. lawyer. What are the chances the prime targets for some ELNOs are going to be First Nations people as they seem to be the only people with allodial title to land?

I always thought that ‘LOT No.’ on titles was short for ‘allotment’, however I have been told that it actually stands for Lease Of Title. If this is the case it is this delusion that gives the grubbermint the ‘right’ to charge land taxes and rates.
