Letter to the Editor

If they were feral pigs they would be culled.

‘Alert as dingo attacks soar’, Sunday Mail 7/1: Thirty dingo attacks on people in 2023 — too many reports of people and children being attacked by these feral animals, they are not native animals and should be culled on Fraser Island to prevent any more vicious unprovoked attacks on children whose safety is of far more importance than a potentially dangerous feral animal, or there should be a total boycott Australia wide on going to Fraser Island.

Dingo latches onto sunbaking girl’s bum on Fraser Island

These are NOT native animals — all native animals are either Marsupial or Monotremes, they are introduced feral animals no different to other nuisance feral pests. These feral animals were brought there by the Indian aboriginals about 4300 years ago, the oceans had risen so they never took them to Tasmania to kill the Thylacine and Devils.

Who will carry the legal responsibility for negligence and death compensation after a child gets killed?

Sincerely,

Gil May

  1. We are superior and we have absolute Biblical right to exercise domain over all animals which do not have the ability of creative thought. That is why man and animal co-exist; mankind provides for their existence. Ed

  2. Yeah but the dogs are starving and soon they will start eating tourists and island inhabitants, or you could get some Pal maybe with a local Aboriginal grant? Ed

  3. Hi Michael please tell us if there are any ground dwelling marsupials like wallabies or roos left on the island. Or if there are any reptiles surviving on the ground including birds. For at least a decade there have been far too many (feral) dingoes on Fraser Island they are now starving and inbred and sooner or later the gene will run out and their survival rate will decline bit like natural attrition which happens in feral cattle herds. Their management is typical of Qld Parks and Wildlife; ignorant bliss just like their employers. Editor

  4. Good article Gil May in relation to “Dingo’s need thinning out on Frazer Island before they kill a child”

Well they have already killed a 9 year old child back in 2001 and mauled his brother according to the report written by Patrick Barkham in Sydney in the Guardian on May 1st, 2001. 12.19 AEST. ‘Dingoes killed boy 9, and maul brother on tourist isle” World News

But don’t hold your breath with our Grubberment doing anything after they where complaisant in trying to kill us all off, children included, while following orders from their Khazarian mafia, NWO, WHO ,WEF, UN, and goodness knows what other masters, with the Covid19 bioweapon.

If Hillary had got in, we’d been all dead now.

The public feed these dogs through compassion as they are usually city slickers used to tame dogs and don’t understand wild dog mentality.

The Grubberment does not care about these mongrel dogs attacking people. Thats because our grubberment are mongrel dogs doing the same thing!

If they did, the dogs would be locked behind a closed fence by now or shot like they do with roo’s and wild pigs.

We are dealing with Satanic child abusers people! They don’t care about you, me or anyone else!

    Wake Up FFS!

  5. You only have to look at the photo of all the tyre tracks to see this island is magnetic for the lowest common denominator, trying to unscramble this egg is a waste of time. The Vietnamese have a 3rd category of dog, the eating dog. Just like we have pet animals and eating animals, driving the youth towards vegetarianism. Current thinking likes to ignore and rewrite history, in terms of climate fluctuations, the incessant wars and human culls etc., and they like to restructure reality, so death is sanitised and filtered out. People have been killing animals since at least the start of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001. Could the dog lovers just stop the barking please. Lucky for me I moved somewhere with no barking, but it doesn’t alter the request. Forget about the wild dogs, they will get “managed”, just focus on stopping the barking could you please.

  6. There aren’t too many dingoes on Fraser Island. There is too much human ignorance. In confirmation of that there are more and more fences being built on Fraser Island because people can’t follow simple instructions. There has even been a fence built around the airstrip at Orchid Beach FFS.
There are signs at every village and fenced camp ground on the island, and in between, showing people what to do if a dingo approaches. And the rangers on their rounds explain what campers need to know.
Yet people still try to engage with the animals.
It’s a sure bet that some Tesla driving Qld government sociopath who’s never been north of the Costco at North Lakes is itching to close Fraser Island to spoil the enjoyment of people who like being in nature.
It’s simple really – if you can’t understand coloured signs that a first grader can then stay away from the island.

  7. Go somewhere else for your holidays. These magnificent Animals have the right to exist in peace without bloody humans interfering in their lives.

  8. Really?
What is with people and belief that they can just cull living beings?
People damage more wildlife than visa versa.
    Its their habitat!
    People need to respect that.
God forbid you lived in another country where there are bears, lions or cougars in the bush.
Wake up and stop acting like you are the superior species that causes a problem in your narcissistic mind.
    Its not all about humans!

  9. The most dangerous animal of all is not native, but white, if they were removed there wouldn’t be this problem!!

  10. @Pat from Vic: Thanks Pat, I can gauge your IQ from your whole comment. “That makes you a racist,” how intelligent. That’s a term used only by leftists to shut others down. Who could care less whether they are lemurs or femurs, lgbtq+ hairy legged lezzies or whatever name you want to think of, as your “best guess”. You’re not a farmer having to tolerate them.

  11. A hint of commonsense from perolof1944. Yea. All is not lost.

Why do people who have no affinity with the bush insist on having their tuppence worth of vacuous opinion? Gil May was born expert on everything Australian but I am beginning to suspect he lives in England or California.

As Magda pointed out, Dingoes have been in Australia a long time. Long enough to be called indigenous. Conversely, if dingoes are not indigenous, nor are Aborigines. Is this a competition to see which of us is the silliest?

Cee Cee also came down to earth. Effing stupid city folk feed the dingoes so they see humans as a source of food. Little humans, like the young of any species, are their natural food.

But let’s get real here. The worst impact on wildlife is feral cats. Studies by people who have observed dingoes for many decades (ie Brisbane’s Professor Pettigrew) realised decades ago that it is the dingoe that keep feral cat numbers in check. Where 1080 is used and dingoes eliminated, the feral cat population explodes exponentially.

Being practical, we need to come to terms with the reality that dingoes control feral cats, do not need to be paid, and only become a problem when they are too numerous in human environments. Fraser is one of these and the dingoes need to be culled so that they no longer wander in packs, which usually only occurs when a weakened prey requires additional numbers.

If civilisation collapses and we are all hurled back into the wild to survive, I will be doing a little culling of my own.

  12. Don’t go to Fraser Island, problem solved!! Migratory birds are not native, shoot them all!! Sharks how can you tell if they are native??white man non native exterminate them!!

  13. Isaac said – “Like crocs, flying foxes and snakes, the only good dingo is a dead one.”

Well then, that makes you a racist.

BTW, for anyone interested, “Flying Foxes” aren’t foxes (obviously – think of the chickens!) and they’re not “bats”.

Best guess is that they’re an uncatalogued primate species closely related to the Lemurs. Maybe they even ARE Lemurs – with wings.

  14. Do a Google image search and see the Indian Pariah dog is 100% identical to the Aussie dingo. They should all be rounded up and sent back.

Come to think of it…. Nah maybe next time.

  15. Like a pack of hyenas, the wild dogs of Australia will challenge other Apex predators for dominance. And the Australians had best demonstrate that to them.

There is nothing for which wild dogs have more contempt than equality, liberalism and democracy.

  16. I recall a child one of two brothers was attacked and killed on Fraser Island.

  17. Come on everybody, let’s worship animals. It’s nothing more than a pagan religion. Man was made to rule nature, not the other way around. Like crocs, flying foxes and snakes, the only good dingo is a dead one.

  18. Recent DNA studies suggest dingoes may have been in Australia between 4,740 and 18,100 years. Enough to call them native don’t you think? Perhaps you don’t think. Leave dingoes alone. There is evidence that dingoes, if they had not been murdered by the ever greedy for more land owners, would have had positive effects in eradicating feral animals. It is not dingoes who have caused 29 endemic mammals to become extinct, but clearing natural habitat for human greed. All life is precious, including dingoes who have been in Australia for longer than the relatives of the children who may be at risk because their neglectful families visiting Frazer Island do not respect the rules or understand that viewing Dingoes on Frazer Island is special because there they are in their natural state. Pure Dingoes on Frazer Island are Australia’s wild dog which needs to be nurtured, not murdered.

  19. Perhaps advise people to STOP feeding them, biggest problem is as per usual humans……

  20. Our Government will not cull these dangerous dingoes nor snakes or crocodiles yet they are all too happy to cull us. It is about time that these compromised politicians woke up to themselves because when their incarnation is finally over they will get the gretaest shock of their lives because nothing at all can be done at that stage to undo the horrific & appalling consequences of their brainless idiotic & stupid inactions.

  21. Gil May might single out the appropriate authorities on their liability for not addressing the problem, as all the relevant authorities will be incorporated, and so wil have to carry indemnity insurance.

  22. These Asian dogs lay around all over the streets in Thailand in their tame form, they aren’t native fauna, they can go to the dog pound like any other stray as far as I’m concerned
