KAP Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter is ‘not happy Jan’ about a US Rapper playing at the NRL North Queensland Cowboys v Melbourne Storm Grand Final in Sydney on Sunday.
US Rapper Macklemore is being flown over to Australia for the NRL Grand Final and has vowed to play a single ‘Same Love’, which supports Same Sex Marriage. It is reported the rapper’s sound check, is the reason that the North Queensland Cowboy’s are unable to do a training session at ANZ stadium and instead have been relegated to Kogarah oval.
“The NRL CEO obviously thinks promoting his associate’s sexual proclivities is appropriate for an NRL Grand Final. Outside of Christmas for the eastern half of Australia this is the most important event of the year and they have besmirched it,” Mr Katter said.
“It is unbelievable that the NRL are denying the Cowboys their familiarisation training use of the oval because this US rapper needs a sound check. This is the first time ever that I know of, that teams have been forbidden to use the ovals.
“Instead it has been made available to some American rapper, who no one has ever heard of, to promote his associate’s sexual proclivities.
“We have a plethora of talent in Australia – Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem, Lee Kernighan – why do we need to bring over some US rapper?” Mr Katter questioned.
“I’ve used the term again and again, the NRL CEO has put sewerage seepage into the debutante ballroom”.
