High Court a judicial arm of the corrupt party duopoly
Black Friday for Democracy in Australia
The High Court has become an expensive and irrelevant last stand for the people. It has ignored the Commonwealth Constitution of Australia Act 1900 in favour of the corrupt corporate Liberal Party.
The HCA has always been politicised however all citizens now know the full extent of its politicisation. The judges have been totally compromised by the big end of town and no doubt they will receive their spoils from the party duopoly in due course. Australia is well known for having the best judges money can buy!
The 3 Million Voices campaign committee has declared today’s High Court decision regarding voting law as “Black Friday” for Australian democracy. The decision, disallowing the People’s Writ and Senator Bob Day’s Writ challenging the new voting law, will pave the way for a radically different Australia dominated by the Greens.
"As the implications of today’s decision unfold to the Australian public, and those who love true democracy, surely Friday 13th May 2016 will be remembered as a dark day for our nation,” said Peter Madden the Coordinator of the 3 Million Voices campaign.
"Our ‘People’s Writ’ class action and Senator Bob Day’s Writ were a last ditch attempt to stop the dirty deal done between the Turnbull Liberals and the Greens in twisting the Senate voting law. We worked hard to stop this law cementing the Greens in control of the Senate, but we have failed,” said Peter Madden the Coordinator of the 3 Million Voices campaign.
“This High Court decision virtually abolishes the potential for ordinary Aussie battlers to get elected to the Senate, and leaves us under the control of only sycophantic Party ‘hacks’ from the loony-left Greens and the major party cartel.. As the old dictum tells us “absolute power corrupts absolutely”, and we will see this sad reality unfold upon our nation.
“The 3 Million Voices committee has campaigned to oppose the law rammed through in an overnight session on March 18 by the Greens and the Turnbull government, and we thank:
· our 3 Million Voices chairman, Malcolm MacKerras, who urged upon us that the Greens/Turnbull Senate voting law was unconstitutional, unfair and unAustralian
· Senator Bob Day for courageously putting his High Court writ in
· My fellow-citizens from every State and Territory who joined in our ‘People’s Writ’
· Barrister Peter King and his legal team for all their hard work and research.
Democracy has been damaged by the allowance of this horrible Greens/ Turnbull voting law to suit their own interests. We had hoped that the independent umpire, the High Court, under the “separation of powers” intended in the Constitution, would hold this mad Government to account and would uphold the interests of the people. Now it seems that Governments and Prime Ministers can get away with breaking our Constitution.
“The 3,314,174 Australian electors who voted for other than the major parties + Greens in the last election have been ‘sold down the drain’ by this High Court decision, because in the future Senate election their votes will not matter – the Greens/Turnbull law has in effect disenfranchised them all,” said 3 Million Voices Coordinator Peter Madden, who may be contacted on 0413765291, and Malcolm MacKerras on 0408 460269.
