This has resulted in a few readers telling us they have had problems with making a comment. We assume WordPress doesn’t like strange or irregular email addresses or unknown links contained in a comment.

As you would know all this costs money and we ask readers if you have any spare dollars we could use them to keep the site running and renew software agreements. There is a donate tab on the top toolbar.

Few things I would have liked to have seen carried over into this new layout is
1. the commenting number of people and link remaining in the header of the post, as this gives the reader a sense of engagement and popularity of the article.
2. For comments to flow directly under a post with related posts at the end or with a “Related” link button at end of post.
As for who and what people comment on, they sometime may come across repetitive, mildly ideological, Religious or offering historical Theological opinions etc. but you have a choice to skim past what does not wet your appetite.
Please respect the opinions of all commentors irrespective of how they present as this is what makes Cairns News in my opinion an open transparent uncensored quality platform.
Just to give you an idea, I have commented constructively no profanities approximately 10 time on Sky only to have just 2 comments get through with the others stating they don’t meet the guidelines. I boycott them now.

As some of us have suspected, the hacking attempts are not really surprising, considering the TRAITORS, CRIMINALS + SCUMS, who’re in power. They never back down, but DOUBLE DOWN.
We do know, that they have thugs at their disposal, who are *itching* to get hold of some of our personal details, at least those of us, who are over the target etc.
They do hire/ employ talented hackers, in order to further their agendas.
