THE pictured Egyptian slate is the oldest known inscription of the name Yahweh and not in Hebrew, providing some evidence that the Hebrews did in fact live in the land of Egypt.
Archaeological evidence of the biblical Exodus is scant and some of the claimed evidence such as coral-covered chariot wheels in the Gulf of Aqaba is highly controversial.
However, when such discoveries are confirmed it underlines the integrity not only of the biblical narrative but the Christian faith. We should remember that it was Christ himself who referred to Moses and his teaching when confronted by the Pharisees and Saducees.
According to the Jerusalem-based Armstrong Institute for Archaeology, the Soleb Inscription comes from the Egyptian temple of Soleb in what is now Sudan and dates to the 14th century BC.
This temple was commissioned under Pharaoh Amenhotep III and is preserved today in major museums, including the British Museum, with fragments studied and cataloged by Egyptologists for decades.
“This is not a biblical manuscript and not a later religious tradition,” the Armstrong Institute notes. “It is Egyptian archaeology. The inscription records a people group called the traveling nomads, associated with the name Yahweh, written centuries before later substitutions, titles, or pronunciation debates ever existed. Egypt had no reason to invent or theologize the name; they were simply recording what they knew historically.”
The Institute says that’s why this matters. “The Soleb Inscription confirms Yahweh as a real Name in ancient history, not a guess, not a title, and not a late invention. You don’t need to know Hebrew to understand this. You just need to follow the evidence. Archaeology, history, and Scripture all point to the same conclusion.”
Armstrong Institute further notes: “This single inscription alone dismantles the claims that the name is unknowable, unpronounceable, or made up later. It stands as independent, non-biblical confirmation that Yahweh was known, spoken, and recorded in the ancient world. Truth doesn’t fear examination.”

The Lost Sheep of Israel
Israel was the name that the prophets gave to the northern ten tribes, as distinct from Judah. When the northern House of Israel was conquered and deported by Assyria, they took the birthright with them into captivity. There is no place in Scripture where God says that Judah would replace the tribes of Joseph as inheritors of the birthright. In fact, when the tribes of Joseph became “lost sheep,” they followed the pattern of their father, Joseph, who was also a “lost sheep” and who set the original prophetic pattern. The birthright was lost, but not irretrievably lost.
The life of Joseph was prophetic of what would happen to his descendants, the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Joseph was “lost” and presumed dead for many years. But he was not dead, nor was he lost from the sight of God. While in Egypt, Joseph became the world ruler, and ultimately, his brothers bowed before him. Joseph eventually was “found” when he revealed Himself to his brothers.
So it is with the lost House of Israel. They were considered to be “lost” by men, as we read in Ezekiel 34:8, “My shepherds did not search for My flock.” That is because the shepherds presumed Israel to be dead or lost. Therefore, in Ezekiel 34:11 God says,
11 For thus says the Lord God; Behold I myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.
It was Judah’s idea to sell Joseph into slavery in Egypt (Gen. 37:26, 27). Judah stood to gain the most by getting rid of Joseph. Reuben had been disqualified from receiving the birthright, because he had defiled his father’s bed (Gen. 35:22; 49:4; 1 Chron. 5:1). The next two oldest sons, Simeon and Levi, had been disqualified, because of their legalistic cruelty that made their father’s name stink among the nations (Gen. 34:30). Judah must have known by this time that he was the next in line to receive the birthright. The only one who stood in his way was Jacob’s beloved son, Joseph.
So Judah proposed selling him as a slave into Egypt. No doubt his motive was to replace Joseph as the birthright holder. And indeed, it seemed as if the plan would work, because Joseph was lost for so many years. It looked as if Judah would get it all. But in fact, Judah never received the birthright. The birthright was simply held in abeyance until Joseph was found. In the end, Joseph was found, and his father gave him the birthright.
The divine law tells us that we are responsible to take care of lost sheep until their owner comes to claim them. It is found in Deut. 22:1, 2 says,
1 You shall not see your countryman’s ox or his sheep straying away, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly bring them back to your countryman. 2 And if your countryman is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall remain with you until your countryman looks for it; then you shall restore it to him.
Ezekiel tells us that God’s sheep are the House of Israel and that they are “lost.” God scolds the shepherds for not looking for His sheep. Prophetically, this means that the shepherds (pastors) generally refuse to search for the lost sheep of the House of Israel. They say that God has a sufficient number of sheep in the Jewish people, so why should they take the time to search for those other lost sheep? God’s response is to search for His sheep Himself (Ez. 34:11). He will certainly find His sheep, but is it not more pleasing to Him for the shepherds to follow His instruction in Deut. 22:1, 2 and search for His sheep? …………..”

There is a great documentary series called Patterns of Evidence and the first film “Exodus” takes you through lots of evidence of the Hebrews having been in Egypt, including what appears to have been Joseph’s tomb, from which Joseph’s bones were removed to the promised land, and names and canals that Joseph built. There were no Christians prior to 2000 years ago, so anything written before this era was not written for a Christian audience. This is why texts dated to the decades immediately prior to this time are so valuable.
Texts and inscriptions of pre-Christian times were, as rightly pointed out, written about, and for, the people of those times. They were not trying to appease cult members who had not been born, or indeed, mentally conceived.
It is only after the emergence of a new cult/religion, when the ‘original histories’ as recorded by earlier people did not match the ‘cult beliefs’ of the new people, that the latter start tampering with the real historical records in their attempts at ‘forcing’ the older historical records to ‘agree’ with their newly created cult dogmas.
The same process occurs within OT texts, where along with the usual literary patchwork of selective historical events, the researcher also has to carefully sift through the numerous scribal compositional errors.
Anyone reading a CN comment, either their own, or another’s, will often notice a number of hastily written and irreversible compositional errors. This is entirely normal and expected, and Biblical era scribes were not exempt from this human behavioural flaw.
Many of the identified ‘corrupt passages’ were not intentionally deceptive, they were simply crass scribal errors based upon a number of factors, such as a contemporary lack of primary source documents, translation errors, and the usual scribal problem of reproducing earlier scribal errors. For Christian historians, the most important, yet barely known outside if specialist collector circles, involves a discovery made in the early 1960’s, during illegal excavations under Old City Jerusalem, into what was once the Temple area during Christian times. In 1961, among other things, two papyrus documents were found, written in Aramaic. These letters instantly remind us of John. 10:33, and Psalm 82.
As of writing, these two extremely valuable items are held by a very wealthy Biblical Antiquities collector, last known to be living in Jerusalem.
Another problem for these early Christian texts, which are mostly uncovered in Muslim territories, concerns those who discover them, – who are not Christian. Those MS’s which are not deemed extremely valuable and incapable of commanding high prices are simply destroyed.

Joseph (son of Jacob) is a key figure in the Old Testament of the Bible, who became a vizier (sage/viceroy) for an Egyptian pharaoh and during this time was responsible for saving ancient Egypt from a seven year famine. Joseph was able to acquire all the land of Egypt (except that of the priests) by selling grain during the famine. In this way, Joseph made the Pharaohs very rich. Joseph was only 30 years old when he became vizier and 44 years old when he had saved Egypt and bought up all the land. He lived to the age of 110 years and was given a royal Egyptian burial. The Bible is silent about what Joseph did for the last 66 years of his life although the Bible does say that he was able to not only ensure the survival of his family, he was able to protect them as they grew into a great nation numbering over 2 million at the time of the Exodus (which occurred 430 years after Joseph’s family entered Egypt).

I refused to watch the news reports after an hour or so on the day of the Bondi event, but am moved to ask, now, where are the forensic reports, and coroner’s investigations and details of the actual wounds suffered by these alleged victims?
The TV news should have shown the forensic squads doing detailed assessments (photographs of where the victims were, etc., out out their markers and suchlike mapping out the scene) and this should all have been filmed by the news teams.
I don’t know if this happened, as I refused to watch the news reports.
I also think the funerals happened very soon after the event, this being the reason for asking about the coroner and his examinations, reports, etc.
Maybe the funeral scenario is like Muslim deaths, where the deceased must be buried within a day, or whatever time frame is applicable, but something does seem awry here, given the haste with everything-and especially the rolling out of the (pre-prepared?) gun laws.
I would say the claim that there were no Hebrews in Egypt was disinformation, promulgated by the Global Establishment. They are quick to throw in fictional accounts to neutralise investigations. Hence we have things like movies of black Cleopatra ( the Ptolemic dynasty was Macedonian ) or Californian Trojans ( Brad Pitt playing Achilles or whatever that was all about ).
The fact is in the times mentioned above, about 4000 years ago the Egyptians would have been sucking in slaves from anywhere, just as the Roman Empire [later] sucked in Slavs as fast as the Slavs could produce them. If the Hebrew slaves were not compliant enough the Pharaohs obviously would have come up with a scheme to fix them.
Two of the gospels are copies of one, I think I heard the original was Mark but I haven’t checked into it. They used to have AI in the olden times, this was called “scribes”. They also had a data centre in Old Testament times, this was called the “Library of Alexandria”. The boss of the New Testament scribes was a fellow called Saul/Paul, in my estimation, a con-man. His editorial oversight was covered up by calling his emissions “Letters to” so-and-so. So we have maybe 3 mostly authentic books, provisionally: Mark, John, and the Revelations. The apocrypha which still exists in the Ethiopian Bible was jettisoned, officially to focus the Bible towards Jesus. How convenient. Just turn the other cheek etc. Good stuff. Maybe Constantine added some of this type of thing in. A docile and obedient population is very useful for empire building.
Getting back the Hebrews in Egypt, wagon wheels in the sea could have been thrown overboard anytime. The people would not have walked on the seabed. Going back to the story of Moses, being found as a baby by the Pharaoh’s sexy daughter swimming in the river with all her nude handmaidens is very titillating and irresistible but the bullshit detector goes off immediately.
