ACROSS the southern Israel border in southern Syria lies an enclave occupied by the Druze people, a distinct ethno-religious group, who are under a vicious siege being run by Syrian Shia jihadists aka Islamic State.
The father of the pictured family was slaughtered in front of the mother, grandmother and two children. The Shia Jihadist animals recorded their evil deed on phone video, which was captured by Israeli intelligence.
According to Christian Israeli Amir Tsfarti, little distinguishes these terrorists from Hamas in the Gaza strip. We could say Tsfarti, a loyal Israeli Zionist, would necessarily say that, but there are two sides to this story.
Like Hamas, these well-armed Jihadists have no mercy for people like the Druze they deem as enemies simply because they do not conform to the Shia religion. They are little more than a death cult because death, whether of themselves or others, is essentially seen as a noble cause, a matyrdom, for them.
The public humiliation and slaughter of Druze men has been a frequent occurrence in the Druze enclave of Suweida (population 700,000) which is under siege by Jihadists operating on behalf of the new Syrian regime, which global media has painted as liberators of the country after the fall of Assad.
The Druze live in tight knit communities throughout the Middle East, including in Israel and Lebanon, and the Suweida enclave has been subjected to these attacks since 2018.
Tsfarti has been running a losing battle trying to gain public support for the Israel. His major supporters are a majority of US evangelicals who for the past 75 years have claimed biblical prophecy supports the modern Israeli state, aka Christian Zionism.
These evangelicals are strongly represented in the Republican Party. But other Christians disagree strongly, as Tucker Carlson attempted to highlight in an interview with US Senator Ted Cruz.
However, Tsfarti does make a valid point by pointing to the jihadist threat. The global media is falling for the constant stream of propaganda put out by UN-supported Hamas operatives in Gaza who have been routinely hijacking more than 80% of the aid for years and selling it back to their own people for enormous profits.
Hamas also regularly stage “photo ops” featuring distressed Gazans and have even been accused of starving their own people and parading them to the international media.
A recent photo of a Gazan woman with a bony, starving child featured on front pages across the western news outlets. The media who published the photograph were later forced to retract when it was revealed that the boy was suffering from cerebral palsy.
Hamas have shown themselves to be little more than an armed gang living off international aid whose endless stream of propaganda is soaked up by mainstream media on a daily basis.
We also know Israel is not blameless and their southern border defences were mysteriously shut down before October 7th, 2023, after warnings were issued from Egypt and other sources that Hamas was ramping up its military operations. That Israeli intelligence was not aware of this activity is an absurd proposition.
After that attack, the world Jewish propaganda apparatus went into overdrive. But now with the global media totally focused on Gaza and leftist movements worldwide marching for Palestine, Israel has resigned itself to being the pariah state.
Governments worldwide, including Australia’s, have now decided to “recognise” a Palestinian state, a highly unlikely outcome given that the West Bank is well and truly spotted with Zionist settlements and Gaza is a chaotic war zone.
So Israel has chosen the “finish the job” option, declaring Hamas an illegitimate armed terrorist force directly threatening Israel, that simply must be conquered. One could be tempted to label this genocide.
On the question of Gaza’s population of some 2 million, supporters of Israel cite history and law as recognizing cases of population exchange and voluntary migration as ways to end violent conflicts:
• Greece–Turkey (1923) – a large-scale population exchange that ended decades of wars.
• India–Pakistan (1947) – population transfers following territorial partition.
• Czechoslovakia–Germany (1945) – removal of hostile populations to end conflict.
It has been suggested when people live in a hostile territory from which organized terrorism is carried out against a sovereign state, offering voluntary migration routes to third countries with economic incentives and international arrangements, is a legal and humane solution.

All in all, Russia appears to be Syria’s last hope to stop Israel from expanding its influence even further in the southern region. This does not mean, however, that Damascus, which is keen on appeasing the United States, the European Union and Turkey, will actually work with Moscow on that. For some in the new government, sacrificing the south may be worth it. The only problem is that Israel will not likely stop there.

Sharaa’s gamble on centralising Syria by force rather than democratic consensus building gets a deadly reality check in Suweida, writes Joseph Daher.
Violent clashes and tensions have been ongoing in Suweida since Syria’s self-proclaimed president Ahmad Al Sharaa announced the transfer of the responsibility of maintaining security in the province, to local armed factions and Druze religious dignitaries. Yesterday’s decision comes a day after an agreement was concluded between the Syrian ruling authority led by Hayat Tahrir Sham (HTS) and Druze religious dignitaries in Suweida.
Currently, security forces are preparing to re-enter Suweida with the claim from the Syrian interior ministry that they seek to quell fighting between Druze and Bedouin fighters.
This all follows previous attacks by armed groups supportive of the current government in both Suweida and near Damascus in April and May, which left over 100 people dead.
In reality, the recent move by Al Sharaa is clearly an attempt to consolidate his power over a fragmented Syria, undermine Suweida’s autonomy, and break democratic dynamics from below.

Dozens of videos depicting gruesome killings of Syrian Druze in the country’s south have caused outrage in Syria, reeling from sectarian violence
…….Dozens of videos have gone viral over the past week, reportedly showing fighters from the defence and interior ministries killing or kidnapping people.
While many on social media have claimed the assailants in the video of the execution of the man are government forces, this has not been confirmed, although they are seen in military uniforms.
