59:32 I will push back on the cops being “chill”, maybe at the front where the celebs were, but later on when they were clearing the bridge they were intimidating people with mounted police, I’ve seen video of them getting up in the faces of legal observers and mocking protestors with shit eating grins.
Their helicopter was also flying much lower than usual and “buzzing” the crowd, there was one flyover in particular where it was low enough for us to feel the downdraft on the deck of the bridge.
Let’s also remember that if there was ever any “danger of a crowd crush”, it’s because the cops arbitrarily blocked the north end of the bridge on the very spurious grounds that “north Sydney couldn’t handle that many people”, despite a literal court order that the march could pass through. The police only care about the law when they can use it against you.
If people have doubts, I have video of much of the above, what I don’t have on film I saw with my own eyes. At a protest like that the cops are not your friend. They will lie and intimidate to get what they want and maintain what they view as their control of the situation.

“I’m going to personally be involved in the law defining the state of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people,” Netanyahu reportedly told Vider. “It’s a very important law that will influence how Israel will look in the future.”
“I want to anchor in this law, that it will be a Basic Law that the state of Israel arose and exists on the basis of the Torah and the Jewish tradition,” Netanyahu explained, promising to define the Hebrew calendar as the official state calendar.
Netanyahu also promised that “we will define in the law the Gemara as a basis for the Israeli legal system,” referencing the Jewish legal text analyzing the Mishnah, a legal work of the Jewish sages, which together form the Talmud.
Discussing the new Basic Law on Sunday in a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stated “the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish state does not actualize itself enough in our Basic Laws, which is what the proposed law aims to fix.”

Invoked “Hannibal Directive” Given on October 7, 2023. Hamas Attack Was a False Flag

On 7 October 2023, Israel itself killed her own people.
Israel’s former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, admitted that Israeli troops were ordered to invoke the “Hannibal Directive” on 7 October 2023, leading to significant Israeli casualties. With “hundreds” reportedly killed by Israeli forces. His admission raises questions about the justification of the subsequent Gaza offensive.
The Hannibal Directive, also translated as Hannibal Procedure or Hannibal Protocol, is the name of a controversial procedure used by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to prevent the capture of Israeli soldiers by enemy forces. It means that a dead Israeli is worth more than a captured Israeli.
The fallout from 7 October 2023 is now further complicated by these revelations that a significant number of Israeli deaths were caused by Israeli forces themselves.
While 1,139 individuals [official Israeli statements to this day refer to 1,200] in Israel were killed during the 7 October 2023 Hamas raid on Israel, it is now clear that many hundreds of these Israeli deaths were caused by Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) themselves, not by Hamas.
Investigations by independent journalists and international bodies suggest that at least ‘hundreds’ of the Israeli deaths were the result of the Hannibal Directive, nullifying the justification for the Israeli Gaza offensive. See this and this.
This Hamas attack was well-planned years ahead by Israel’s Mossad in combination with the secret services of the UK, MI6, and the US, CIA. Remember, Hamas itself is an original creation by the secret services of Israel, UK, and US. Therefore, Israel was not only aware of the attack to occur on 7 October 2023, they triggered it and knew the time when it was to occur. According to Israeli border guards, they were ordered to abandon their duties for about seven hours, beginning in the early morning of 7 October.
With this admission of Yoav Gallant, it is clear the Hamas attack was what you might call a “False Flag”, planted by Israel, giving them a pretext to start the genocidal ethnic cleansing in Gaza for the reasons that we now have confirmed by President Trump’s statement that the US would take over Gaza, rebuild it into a resort strip and that the remaining Gazan citizens – some 1.6 to 1.8 million should be resettled in Egypt, Jordan and Europe for a “better life” – free of the risk of being killed in a war. Trump’s words.
This latter part of Trump’s statement more than insinuated that if they refused to leave Gaza, the war, the atrocious mass killing, would continue.
What Trump did not say is that the US takeover would effectively give the US (possibly shared with Israel) access to the probably trillions of dollars-worth of gas reserves offshore of Gaza.
The overall goal is achieving Greater Israel in the shortest time possible. See also this.
The admission statement by Israel’s former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, was the first public acknowledgment by a senior official of the Hannibal Directive’s application to both soldiers and civilians. Fire from Israeli helicopters, drones, and tanks targeted fleeing vehicles, including those containing Israeli civilians.
One of the most tragic incidents took place at the Supernova music festival (close to the border with Gaza), where helicopters fired on attendees, creating confusion and panic. At least 364 people were killed at the festival. Several survivors of the festival later testified that they witnessed how Israeli helicopters were shooting at the festival.
This revelation annuls the justification of Israel’s military offensive on Gaza, which has resulted in 60,000 to 70,000 of Palestinian deaths, plus hundreds of thousand seriously insured and maimed people. These are official figures. But unofficial estimates by Palestinian Health Authorities and international organizations put the figure of killed Palestinians at 120,000 to 150,000.
Over 90% of all Gaza housing and infrastructure – hospitals, school, roads, markets, community centers — was destroyed at the time when the current ceasefire began on 19 January 2025.

Israel prevents the entry of humanitarian aid and has shot civilians trying to access it. As a counterpart to Zionist barbarism, an international coalition is preparing a March to Gaza, an action with which the International Socialist League (ISL) is in solidarity.
Crimes of Genocide and Starvation
Over the past week, the Gaza Strip has seen an intensifying humanitarian crisis due to a lack of food and a series of deadly attacks by Israel’s genocidal army during the distribution of the little aid that reaches the Palestinians.
On May 29, hundreds of Palestinians stormed a UN warehouse in search of flour and other basic supplies. The scene reflected the desperation of a population on the brink of starvation.
On June 3, armed criminals of the State of Israel attacked defenseless people during the distribution of aid, causing a massacre in Rafah, with at least 27 Palestinians killed and 157 wounded by gunfire while waiting for food in the Al Mawasi area. The cynical statements of Israel surprise fewer and fewer people, as they have claimed to have fired on “suspects”.
On June 4, the fascist murderers provoked an escalation of violence and horror when they suspended humanitarian aid in Gaza, because of “reorganization reasons”, to nearly two million people who were already facing critical conditions.
Genocide and ethnic cleansing operations were complemented by attacks on displaced people, shelling tents at a school in Khan Yunis and causing at least 26 deaths, including several children.
The hospitals left standing in Gaza are overwhelmed and without medical resources. Faced with an urgent shortage of blood, medical personnel have begun donating their own blood to save lives.
The situation in Gaza is horrifying as the Palestinian civilian population is caught between the urgent need for humanitarian aid and the risks it faces in its distribution from Zionist attacks.
US imperialism sustains its gendarme against the Arab peoples of the Middle East in all areas, that is why the US has unilaterally vetoed a UN Security Council resolution demanding an “immediate, unconditional and permanent” ceasefire in Gaza with a consequent increase in humanitarian aid.
In the meantime, expressions of repudiation continue to be expressed at all levels. At the Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain fans chanted and unfurled banners against genocide.
In an unusual gesture, the Barcelona Sónar Festival issued a statement condemning “the genocide on the Palestinian people,” responding to criticism of its indirect link to the Israeli investment firm KKR.

It was 15 years ago: Felicity Arbuthnot recalls the massacre of Palestinian children during the December 2008-January 2009 invasion of Gaza.
It did not start in October 2023.
The killing of children by Israel has been persistent.

It was that “pinpoint accuracy”, “surgical strike” stuff again, there were “unavoidable tragic errors”, “mistakes”, “scrupulous efforts made to avoid” etc., blah. And as Britain’s Colonel Richard Kemp declared of the fourteen hundred dead of the Christmas and New year onslaught on Gaza in 2008-2009: “Mistakes are not war crimes.” (i)
Colonel Kemp, with impeccable ties to British Intelligence Services, spoke to the BBC from Jerusalem in similar sanguine vein on 21st November(ii) of the then latest twenty four hour bombardment of the tiny, walled in Gaza Strip, where over half the population are children. But Colonel Kemp has seen a fair amount of carnage in his time, from Belfast to the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Seemingly after a while the dead and dismembered are just part of the day job.
The eight day blitz killed one hundred and sixty two Palestinians in what were merciless attacks on families with no where to hide. Nine hundred and ninety nine were injured. Eight hundred and sixty five houses are damaged or destroyed.
Six health centres are damaged, thirty schools, two universities, fifteen NGO offices, twenty seven mosques, fourteen media offices, eleven industrial plants, eighty one commercial stores and a UNRWA food distribution Centre.
In addition seven Ministry offices, fourteen police or security stations, five banks, and two youth clubs. The sports complex where the Palestinians athletes and paralympians trained for the 2012 London Olympics is reduced to rubble, as is the beautiful and most necessary Gaza Interior Ministry.
On Universal Children’s Day, 20th November, an air strike destroyed the Oxfam-supported Al Bajan kindergarten school and damaged the Al Housna kindergarten. (iii) Oxfam’s Sara Almer commented that more than one hundred and fifty children attended these kindergartens. “The children are safe, but the places where they learned and played are now in ruins.” This in an area: “where they already suffer a high level of trauma …”
The Oxfam project was as a result of the devastation caused by “Operation Cast Lead” between 27th December 2008-17th January 2009, when they also repaired the now re-fractured water and sanitation facilities.
There is a shortage of two hundred and thirty schools in Gaza, the Agency points out – and a ban on importing construction materials, which means the further thirty two damaged, the two universities and all else may well stay that way.
Ironically, on the day of the nurseries’ destruction, the UN Secretary General announced, that marking Universal Children’s Day, the launch of a major UN initiative: “Education First.” The day commemorates the adoption of the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child of 1959 and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. The 1989 Convention entered in to force on September 2nd 1990, under a month after the UN embargo on Iraq, with even baby milk formula importation denied.
“The child … needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection before as well as after birth” is included in the preamble to a fine document. (iv)
Four year old twins, Suhaib and Muhammed Hijazi will never learn of the “protection” they are entitled to by the United Nations. They were killed when their home was bombed as the dawn of Universal Children’s Day approached. Their parents, Fouad and Amna died in hospital.
Saraya, eighteen months, won’t grow to read the fine words either, she died of a heart attack, literally frightened to death by the bombardment.
As the lights went off in Gaza’s hospitals, and their generator fuel hovered on empty, Gilad Sharon – youngest son of eighty four year old former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, who has benefited from Israel’s fine health services and been on life support systems since 2006 – stated: “We need to flatten entire neighbourhoods in Gaza. Flatten all of Gaza. The Americans didn’t stop with Hiroshima – the Japanese weren’t surrendering fast enough, so they hit Nagasaki too.”
Israel’s Interior Minister Eli Yishai stated that the goal of the attacks were to: “ … send Gaza back to the Middle Ages.”
Palestine has no army, navy, air force, no heavy weaponry. Israel is an undeclared nuclear power, regarded as having the fourth strongest military on earth.
Gaza was, of course being bombed by American supplied F-16s and a variety of American weaponry. But as Gaza grieved, America had parades across the land, ate turkey, prayed over their festive dinners on Thanksgiving Day, 22nd November.
Reality would have had them burning, city to city, The UN Declaration and Convention on the Rights of the Child, The UN Declaration on Human Rights, The Geneva Convention, The Nuremberg Principles and making a pyre of all the fine, meaningless words which do not end or mask international lawlessness and inhumanity. A bonfire which might light the lie of the whole murderous hypocrisy of self proclaimed “democratic” nation states.
