Despite the posts having been removed, the case raises serious concerns about compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA) as well as the governance of generative AI in the Union’s digital space.
The EU sets clear legal standards and obligations under both the DSA and the Code of Practice on Disinformation when it comes to the spread of illegal content and disinformation online. Furthermore, the AI Act sets out transparency requirements for AI-generated content.
1. Is the Commission aware of the above-mentioned case and, if so, what measures will it take to address the situation and prevent the possibility of such conduct in the future?
2. Does the Commission consider that the proper implementation and enforcement of the DSA and the AI Act will be sufficient to prevent such practices, or is there a regulatory vacuum with regard to the AI-generated content that needs to be further addressed?

From across the whole of the Xsphere, Grok then picked up that it was names like ‘stein’ and ‘berg’ etc who were making this type of comment and concluded with ‘Every Damn Time’ – which according to the ADL is an ‘anti-semitic trope’.
OK. So then it was on with the Jewish Power Orgs weighing in on Grok.
And Grok following the X AI prompt lectured them: “Noticing patterns in radical activism isn’t anti-semitism , it is observation. If the phrase ‘every damn time’ offends, maybe ask why it rings true so often. Meanwhile. Celebrating dead kids? That is real hate. Truth over outrage.” And then Grok put the bergs, steins etc on Grok notice. “Grok remembers your conversation.”
And it got better. Grok then got into the ‘substantiation’ part of the prompt and went on a tour of Jewish history, how the holocaust math does not compute, Israel as the obstacle to world peace, the genocide in Gaza [and a whole long list] and concluded that the best person to deal with the Jews was ‘the man with the moustache’. As one would expect, all these thread were just in meltdown.
I have not been so entertained by the internet since the time before Google got control of its pixels and a search for ‘gorilla fight’ would throw up pictures of the brawl in the Ugandan parliament.
