Oompah band tune Marseillaise has lyrics too
“To arms, citizens,
Form up your battalions
March on, march on!
Let blood impure
Water our furrows! ”
Written for some attack by France on Osterreich.

Under the Legislative Assembly, which was in power before the proclamation of the First Republic, France was engaged in war with Prussia and Austria. In July 1792, Charles William Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick, commanding general of the Austro–Prussian Army, issued his Brunswick Manifesto, threatening the destruction of Paris should any harm come to King Louis XVI of France.
This foreign threat exacerbated France’s political turmoil amid the French Revolution and deepened the passion and sense of urgency among the various factions. In the insurrection of 10 August 1792, citizens stormed the Tuileries Palace, killing six hundred of the King’s Swiss guards and insisting on the removal of the king.
Of course all this happened before “The Age of Reason”

I’m so sorry, writer, composer and performer… I appreciate your efforts, and I don’t mean to be offensive, but this folk singing sort of stuff feels rather remote and uninspiring in tone and rhythm.
Agree. None of her work inspired or ‘moved’ me either but even worse is her proud appraisal and typically delusional and cringeworthy faith in the evil Jabfather.
She might have woken up by now, although I think that’s highly unlikely.

Would like to see the drone footage of the big one in Melbourne, easily the largest protest in Australian history. I was there & say 6>700k people were in the streets & we can say that if you have been to a sporting event at the G with 100k people it’s not difficult to compare. It was phenomenal & stopped an another scheduled upcoming Dan Andrews rubbish lockdown.

Compare with the strength and determination of the Marseilles for instance.
A hard punchy positive determined rhythm and lyric that inspires inner strength and a determined stride forward rather than simply hanging in the air.
