Murderous duo kill a mother during a 2022 Brisbane home invasion

By Jim O’Toole, Townsville Bureau

Queensland Labor, Murcoch media and the untrustworthy Law Society have thrown cold water on Katters Australian Party’s Castle Law bill before parliament which allows home owners to defend themselves against violent home invaders.

Predictably Murdoch’s Cairns Post, which is published in the epi-centre of some of the most violent crimes in Australia, says a handful of hand-picked, home invasion victims do not want to defend themselves.

Emma and Lee Lovell. Could Emma’s life have been saved while trying to protect her children if Mr Lovell had access to a gun?

That may be so but what about the victims of the 446 Far Northern unlawful entry offences just for the month of April or the victims of the 240 illegal entries every day for the past year across the state?

Of this number nine were charged with unlawful entry with violence and in another 16 robberies, nine were armed.

More than 40,000 voters signed a petition supporting the Castle Law bill yet Murdoch media and a minority of lawyers want to kill it.

Had the Lovells had access to a gun
Mrs Lovell could be alive today instead this
17 year old youth stabbed he to death

Creevey Horrell principal solicitor Dan Creevey, the son of a former Deputy Commissioner of Queensland Police, claimed the bill was a “dangerous response” to crime in Queensland.

He said the current law allows reasonable force to be used against home invaders.

Co-sponsor of the bill, KAP Hinchinbrook member Nick Dametto says the laws do not automatically permit the use of firearms or do they change the idea of ”reasonable force” which allow a person to shoot another in limited circumstances.

Mr Creevey said the current laws already allow for a homeowner to kill a person if that person is going to kill them first, including the use of a gun.

As every reader would know if such an event occurred the homeowner would be hauled off in chains by Queensland robocops and left languishing in a high security shithole for a year or two until there was a court case to determine his fate.

That is the thrust of the Castle Law bill; there should be no legal recriminations against a homeowner defending his family and property.

We would hope Mr Creevey and the irrelevant, duplicitous Law Society would try to sell this tripe to Lee Lovell, the widower of Emma Lovell who was stabbed to death by an Aboriginal youth during a 2022 North Lakes, Brisbane home invasion.

The other point deliberately omitted by the Cairns Post is that few households have access to firearms due to savage and unlawful firearms’ policies put in place by the corporate LibLab duopoly.

Queensland is a far cry from the United States when it comes to firearms’ ownership Mr Premier, and unfortunately we do not have the savior of the Second Amendment, yet.

26 thought on “Labor, Murdoch and Law Society will not support no-strings self defence in violent home invasions”
  1. Always comparisons to the US and never enough reminders about Switzerland where everyone has a gun at home and plenty of training from the government how to use it, the gun is for defence, notionally for the country but presumably for any sort of defence, even wolves or bears if they have any left.
So why is it there are no massacres in Switzerland when there are so many in the USA, I guess we have to take the arranged massacres out of the equation, and maybe all the “safe schools” areas out too.
In Texas they say everyone has a gun and they are all polite.
Well the era of guns is soon to be over anyway.
If you got a home invader you should have probably had some pepper spray and a crowbar handy. There is more and more crime, cultivated by our governments, because there is no punishment, jail is a reward for some. Our governments are so screwed up it’s a wonder people keep voting for the same old faces. There is no plan for Australia to recover, the Globalist plan is to destroy it and re-populate surely as the Zionists are redeveloping Gaza.

  2. Self-defence is a right given to us by God. Murdoch may think he is on that level, but he will soon learn otherwise. Be discreet. Be armed. Be mentally prepared and have a plan.

  3. As long as you are disarmed and cannot resist whoever comes to your door, that’s all that matters. Particularly if it’s the jabber_wockys.

  4. acv19ff39b09e86 Can you supply any more details of the 75 year old man who was arrested

  5. I once sat next to a sheriff in a restaurant in Leesburg, Virginia who had a very prominent Colt Python .357 magnum in a holster. I asked him did he use it often. He said: “Yeah quite often!”

  6. ROTFL. It’s Vatican policy that private ownership of guns is outlawed..

  7. IT’S THE SAME SCENARIO HERE IN NZ, MY OLD FRIEND’S ALARM AWOKE HIM IN HIS BEDROOM AT 2PM SO HE WENT TO HIS GARAGE AND FOUND TWO YOUNG RATS TRYING TO OPEN HIS SAFE AND AS HE WAS 75 YEARS OLD HE CAME WITH A BASEBALL BAT AND TOLD THE RATS TO LEAVE.
THE POLICE WERE CALLED AND A DOG HANDLER FOUND THE TWO WHO WERE AGED 17&18 THEY TOLD THE POLICE THAT THEY WERE THREATED BY THE OLD MAN WITH A BAT, THE POLICE HANDCUFFED MY FRIEND, ARRESTED HIM AND TOOK HIM TO JAIL.
THE NEXT DAY THE POLICE TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS NOT A FIT PERSON TO HOLD A FIREARMS LICENSE AND ORDERED HIM TO SURRENDER HIS GUNS, YET THE RATS DIDN’T EVEN GO TO COURT.
JUSTICE IS NOT FOR THE VICTIM WHEN CRIMINALS LAUGH AT US KNOWING THERE IS NO PUNITIVE SYSTEM TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT.

  8. Of course the government doesn’t want to let you defend yourself. They lied to you and mandated many people to take the Covid shot. They committed the Port Arthur Massacre that killed many Australians AND THEN CONVINCED YOU MORONS TO SURRENDER YOUR FIREARMS TO THE BASTARDS THAT COMMITTED THE MASSACRE! -WTF??

    https://gumshoenews.com/justice-in-the-lucky-country/

Of course! – Letting some low-lifes invade your home and terrorize and/or kill you fits perfectly with their agenda.

It is what it looks like, get a clue!

  9. I was given a very good book by my daughter one Christmas.
    Gunfight by Adam Winkler. Excellent.
If I recall the author may have been somewhat opposed to guns. He covered the 2nd amendment and other issues and finished as somewhat of a gun advocate.
    Well worth the read.

We do have the right to defend ourselves.

In many situations of invasion and attack there is often very little time to consider or deliberate on should I, shouldn’t I. It simply has to happen and that decision has to happen quickly.
If one hears a sound or receives any other warning yes they are permitted to retrieve their gun. they are permitted to be prepared.
    The invader has no rights.

The 2nd amendment is not about self defence rather it is about the right of the people to rise up against a tyrannical parliament. Obviously the citizens would require equal fire power to the government. Which raises the question should citizens have access to tanks and rocket launchers and the answer is yes.

It has been said if an American phones the police and asks for help claiming they think they have a trespasser on their property a prospective home invader.
The police ask. Do you have a gun. Yes and the police are quick to respond.
If the answer is no you are considered not to be doing enough to protect yourself and the police will not necessarily give your call the same priority.

Parts of America have little or no home invasion because crims are more afraid of the homeowner than the police. In this respect police are trained to think before shooting whereas a homeowner is more inclined to shoot out of fear and panic.

Then there are those who oppose gun ownership because they want the chaos in order to bring down society.

Another point is that the biggest nightmare confronting an invading army is an armed citizen or militia. They have no uniform and are very hit and run sniper style.
Are those who oppose guns Fifth Columnists?

Is Port Arthur is the biggest screw up of a False Flag operation in history?
Did the shooter have long hair or was he wearing a wig?
Was the shooter wearing military type headphones?
    Was the shooter receiving orders?
    From a black SUV?
Were the Australia agencies in the cafe as observers to a shooting which was supposed to take place 100 meters or so further over?

Story: Years ago I was driving across the US and passing over the Rockies we saw a McDonalds and stopped for a break. While seated a guy accompanied by his wife and daughter walked in. He had strapped on a flap type gun holster. I gazed around the restaurant taking in peoples reactions. There was no reaction no one appeared bothered. My kinda town.

  10. Basically speaking, our Government is saying that we the home owner have no right to defend ourselves against home intruders = well I have news for you, you idiotic, hairbrained halfwits = Gods Law allows for justified self defence done under Right Motive. What gives you Government numpskulls the right to allow violent home invaders to bash the eff out of people & sometimes kill them while stipulating in Law that the peaceful home owner who is violently attacked must stand still & accept being smahed to bits – ARE YOU POLITICIANS COMPLETELY STUPID, JUST BRAIN DEAD OR ACCEPTING PAYMENT & ADDED BENEFITS BECAUSE YOU WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO PLACE YOURSELVES IN A BADLY COMPROMISED POSITION & THEREFOR YOU DO EXACTLY AS YOU ARE TOLD REGARDLESS, SO YOUR EVIL MISCONDUCT IS NOT DISCLOSED & YOU ARE NOT PUBLICLY SHAMED, HUMILIATED & HAVE YOUR REPUTATION TORN TO SHREDS

  11. The LibLabsDuopoly’s made up ‘laws’/rules cancelling the Constitutional rights of Australians to defend themselves with small firearms, etc., is UnConstitutional as there has never been a referendum on this issue, and parliaments cannot make up laws that are outside of existing laws of the time of writing of the said Constitution. Our chains lie only where defined, and where not defined, there are NO CHAINS.
Every change from the original setting, made by parliaments, is unlawful, and has never been signed into place by Monarchial authority.
Only referendums can make changes, in Australian Law.

  12. You know, IMO half the problem we have in this situation is that we spend SO much time talking about the problem and begging our mass-murdering baby-eating child-molesting Globalist Overlords for their approval.

Blah blah blah and then some more f*cking blah blah blah.

Of course their consent will NEVER be forthcoming. They just get big BONERS thinking about all of us on our hands and knees pleading for their regal mercy while they’re busily scheming up more ways to grind us down, all from the security and seclusion of their luxuriously appointed ivory towers.

Maybe it’s about time all those violent home invaders turned their attention to the homes of the FAKE “police”, you know, those ARMIES of shit-for-brains HIRED MERCENARY THUGS who prowl the streets in packs molesting and terrorising and assaulting and poisoning and irradiating and shooting and MURDERING unarmed Australian citizens?

You know, the most HATED and DESPISED species on the Australian continent. Those TREASONOUS mass-murdering BASTARDS who, along with the fake corporate “politicians”, are the REASON Australians no longer have the MEANS to defend themselves, because otherwise Australians would be DEFENDING themselves against the ARSEHOLES masquerading as “police” and “politicians”.

Maybe if EVERY LAST ONE of these low-life sold-out TREASONOUS ARSEHOLES all of a sudden got their HOMES invaded by violent vagrants and maybe a few dozen of them KILLED IN THEIR OWN HOMES just like all the rest of the Useless Eaters have become accustomed to, they might start considering the circumstances in a different light.

But then, how likely is THAT? After all, WE’RE the ones who are slated for ENSLAVEMENT and EXTERMINATION by our Globalist Overlords, not THEM.

And there’s the CRUX of the matter, folks. OF COURSE our fake shit-for-brains hired mercenary “police” and ALL OF AUSTRALIAN OFFICIALDOM are HELL-BENT AGAINST letting us get any fancy ideas about having the right to DEFEND ourselves, otherwise we might start noticing that THOSE BASTARDS are the EXACT MONGRELS whom we need to defend ourselves AGAINST.

  13. Trespass on private property is already covered in basic original Constitutional Law and Royal Assent Law.
So there is no need for any unlawful acting parliament to make any new laws that will never be signed off by an officially and traditionally installed, Constitutionally agreed to, correctly named Monarch of Great Britain and Ireland, etc., etc.
We are already free and enabled to remove any persons off our property that we did not permit to enter, with whatever force and resulting consequences are required to do so, including death.
If this were to end up in a court proceeding afterwards, which it should not, a Common Law Court must be used to judge the issue.
Admiralty Courts are unlawful in Australia and on any landmasses, and cannot make judgements outside of their jurisdiction, which is only on the high seas.

  14. Courts/govts being soft on crime shows a progressive facade of compassion. Really, it’s evidence of a malevolent attitude designed to make more dysfunction in society. The positive feedback loop of ineffective legal actions results in more crimes, more court ca$es, and more business for security firms. The plan is to defeat the enemy – the public; and make profit$ in BAR costs in the process.

  15. Self Defense is a Human Right. NO Politician , No other person at all,has the right to tell any person protecting themselves or there families from a violent offender. that they can’t. TOO Hell with you all. I will defend my friends and my family to the DEATH! Always.

  16. I support the ability to defend themselves, what hope would I have to defend myself from an invader Im 70 plus and not as strong as I once was. I should be able to have a gun to ward off invaders, not necessarily shoot them.

  17. Who is thinking about the legalities and finer definitions of “reasonable force” when your woken up in the middle of the night with some deadsh*t breaking into your home?
Anyone would grab the nearest baseball bat and come out swinging to the degree that leaves the invader incapacitated.
It’s fight or flight response and most men will fight to defend their castle and family.
I think that if Mr Murdoch and the law society apparatchiks were confronted with such a home invasion that they would be very quick to change their minds.

  18. Here’s what I sent Mudrock’s Cairns-based Courier Mail clone after reading that garbage this morning…
They won’t print it, of course…

RE: Right to lawfully kill home invaders

    The Editor
    The Cairns Post

Your Queensland government took away your ancient right to self-defence without you ever voting for that, (Right to lawfully kill home invaders, 06/07).

It empowered criminals to get “street cred” by invading your home and stealing your valuables and your car by largely removing the consequences for crime.

It shows little interest in punishing those criminals who are caught, giving them a slap on the wrist if they’re below an arbitrary age.

It explicitly admits it doesn’t feel obligated to defend you from the criminals it empowered.

In effect, the government has abandoned you to the criminals it tacitly permits to run wild in our communities.

If we have a Castle Law, we won’t be “murdering” home invaders, we’ll merely be swiftly applying the justice the government is failing to deliver.

Home invaders will need to decide if they value our stuff and their chance at social media street cred above their own lives.

The two US examples cited of home defence going wrong are extreme outliers; there’s tens of thousands of cases per year where it’s used correctly.

There’s also tens of thousands of cases per year of innocent lives being saved from the worst criminals, including mass murderers, by lawfully armed citizens.

Anti-gun alarmists in Australia love to point to high gun deaths in the US, but when you remove the stats from Democrat-run gun-free cities the rate is lower than Australia’s.

As to the legal opinions that Australians can already use guns in home defence, I have to wonder what they’re smoking.

Maybe if you have several million lazy dollars to pay lawyers to defend you from the government you might get away with that, but if you’re a legal gun owner don’t even think about it.

  19. Surely, if an aggressive and unexpected invasion of one’s home territory is taking place, you have the right to retaliate by eliminating that offender as one would with a mosquito.

  20. Time the courts were taught some common sense…I feel sorry for the years of anguish the parties have caused stress to the more practical politicians..wake up Labor , Liberals and people who supported taking our guns .
