SUNDAY’S March for Australia in Melbourne brought out the predictable rabble of leftist supporters of mass immigration (they call them refugees) who ranted about “fascists”, “Nazis” and “racists” to marchers carrying Australian flags.
They, of course, were waving red and black Antifa and Palestinian flags. Antifa has now been declared a terrorist organisation in the United States.
One of their number even brazenly burnt an Australian flag in the street. These are the inner-city public service and university student voters who keep Victoria’s socialist-left Labor-Green regime in power. Like their UK counterparts, they are largely middle class, Anglo-Australians.
Meanwhile an identical scene was being played out in Bristol, UK, where British nationalists waving Union Jacks were harassed by a mob of leftist “anti-fascists” – probably from Bristol University and elsewhere.
Police in both locations, as usual, formed a barricade between the two groups, not allowing them to mingle, supposedly for fear of what? A few fist fights?
The sharp division between the rising tide of anti-globalist, populist nationalism and the entrenched, hard-core left is all too obvious. We have to ask the question: Are we being played and what will be the eventual outcome of this ongoing clash of ideologies?
The leftists are probably the better organised of the two groups. There are generations of leftist agitators and organisers going back for more than a century in both the UK and Australia.

In sharp contrast in Australia, the federal and state Labor governments are going after the so-called “sovereign citizens” of the “far right”, who they falsely accuse of denying laws or lawful authority.
While it is true that some law activists use dubious “no jurisdiction under statutes” arguments in courts many others will cite constitutional or common law arguments that higher courts are unwilling to deal with unless appeals are lodged strictly according to court rules.
WA Premier Roger Cook, brazenly lied, applying this false “lawless” accusation to Dezi Freeman, who repeatedly cited state and commonwealth laws in his various court appearances.
Freeman’s outspoken and confrontational Sui Juris approach won him no friends in either the courts or the police, who, after years of harassment, eventually came up with accusations of “historic sexual offences” that pushed him over the edge into an alleged fatal shooting of two police officers.
Now it appears that anyone prepared to publicly question the legal system is lumped into the “sovereign citizens” category, and given a status equivalent to that of a “potential terrorist” who is an “unfit person” to hold a firearms license.
How the courts handle the 70 or so West Australians stripped of their firearms will be watched closely and serve as an acid test for the independence and integrity of our court system.
