Federal opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s chances of winning his own seat at the federal election just took a huge hit with community independent Ellie Smith entering the race for Dutton’s seat of Dickson.
Peter Dutton only won the last election by 3% and he has the most marginal seat in Queensland and any serious competition will make it very hard for Dutton. Ellie Smith already has 200 volunteers which says she will be a serious force come election time which is due no later than May 2025.
Dickson Decides had their launch on Monday 27th of January 2025 and announced Ellie Smith as their candidate.

CHOICE – the right to make choices for you and your family
CENSORSHIP – the right to be able to speak freely and receive information
SURVEILLANCE – in the form of tracking and tracing
CONTROL– countries will have to implement the changes into their domestic legislation
COST – both financial and social
The Joint Standing Committee on Treaties (JSCT) is an Australian government committee that has asked for your feedback on the 2024 IHRs.
It’s easy and we encourage you to give your feedback, which CLOSES 23 January 2025.
We will be sending our feedback to the government on the concerns we share about the WHO’s 2024 International Health Regulation Amendments (IHRs).
