PROPERTY Rights Australia has pulled up the ABC for blaming climate change for apparent eucalypt decline.
PRA has instead referenced a retired, long-serving forester by the name of John O’Donnell, who has just published a Global Review of Forest Decline, which is almost entirely missing from the public debate.
O’Donnell’s review of forest decline draws together 82 key scientific references from Australia and overseas. His conclusion is that the dominant driver of forest decline, including eucalypt decline, is not temperature alone, but the long-term exclusion of regular, low-intensity (mild) fire and the soil changes that follow.
O’Donnell shows that when mild fire is excluded, forest soils fundamentally change. Nutrient cycles are destabilised, soil physics and chemistry are altered, and the vital root–mycorrhizal systems that underpin tree health are degraded. The visible symptoms we argue about like crown thinning, insect attack, dieback, are consequences.
This aligns closely with the work of researchers such as Vic Jurskis, Burrows and others, who have long warned that fire suppression and “lock-up” conservation weaken forests, increase fuel loads, and make landscapes far more vulnerable to severe, uncontrollable fires. It also reinforces what many practitioners know from experience: human management decisions, not abstract climate variables, are the primary drivers of declining forest health.
The relevance to current fires could not be clearer. When we exclude mild fire, neglect fuel management, and delay early suppression, we don’t just see an increase in fire intensity, we undermine forest resilience itself. Then, when forests burn hard, the damage is blamed on climate rather than on decades of policy failure.
“This review is worth reading in full. It provides the scientific depth that is so often missing from media coverage and policy debates, and it reinforces a simple but uncomfortable message that we repeatedly argue.
“Healthy forests require active management, regular mild fire and the courage to intervene and apply active management, not just to lock them up in reserves and apply the lazy management objective of benign neglect,” PRA notes.

Meanwhile Forestry Australia is seeking proposals for projects that will support farm forestry and agroforestry in Australia. The funding is made available through the Forestry Australia’s Grower Reserve Fund, with up to $ 10,000 available per project.

The reasons for ‘dieback’ is as cited in this article and in the response comments.
Then there is the aftermath of fires, what to do with the resources torched by nature eg lightning, or unnatural, you know the story. A couple of days ago 2 sizable fires, both about 30km in diameter hit Fitzgeral River National Park and Lake Magenta Nature Reserve north of Bremer Bay, WA. Given the totality of the fires, I wonder, will the WA govt be handing out contracts to drop and process damaged trees? And if so, what is the public interest in the lumber that would be taken? Or is it just given away to some mates?
Chemtrails are causing tree die-off. They cause the problem and blame it on “Climate Change”.

Does this mean all the arsonists we see at work these days are eco-heroes who are each owed $10,000 or did I miss something
Aussie bovine voted for a gov that introduced the environmental policies that contributed to these fires. Aussie bovine therefore deserve to burn alive.
Well much of the above was identified after the Black Friday filres in the 1930s. So what have they been teaching children in schools? Greta Thunberg included. Nothing about the carbon cycle, discovered by the great chemist Lavoisier in the 18th Century, that’s for sure. The Carbon Cycle was once taught in Primary School as part of Nature Studies
The ABC’s Australian Story did a couple of episodes on this extraordinary man, Perter Andrews, whose restoration of eroded properties and the future management of them was amazing. I actually spoke with him on the phone once.
The synopsis from the first episode, and the link, below.
Ths bloke had all the answers, a long time back:

Aired July 6, 2009.
Four years ago Australian Story featured a farmer and horse breeder called Peter Andrews who seemed to have a rare ability to transform degraded Australian landscapes into thriving oases.
He called it natural sequence farming and it was producing some spectacular results. But for nearly thirty years, Peter Andrews’ work was rejected by scientists, bureaucrats and politicians alike until the evidence became difficult to ignore.
The Australian Story episodes on Peter Andrews, generated unprecedented viewer response.
Now some very influential and highly placed Australians have rallied to his cause and the scientific evidence and international interest are building as well.
The result has been some significant progress but some of the same frustrations.
When my fathers grandfather cleared his land of trees to grow crops in the Wimmera in Victoria he left many large trees to absorb the underground salt as was the what a responsible farmer of the land would do in the those years .
Since then land has been cleared of trees leaving nothing ;example being the wheat belt of WA where the trees were removed and salt lakes appeared .
I cleared scrub south of Charters Towers in the 80’s using dozer and chain method and was told it was for pasture improvement but looking at the soil I said it should never have been cleared and later years on I was proven correct for the soil was found out not to be any good for growing grasses suitable for livestock .
When the timber on the east coast of Australia was felled ,no one thought of seeding the land for re growth leading to erosion that strips the top soil that eventually found its way into the rivers .
If they had replanted those species of trees there would have been less erosion and less floods since and probably no talk of climate change .

Teals Party members are laughing all the way to the bank. What did Teals Party ever do for anyone, apart from producing the most laughable veneer of respectability anyone has ever seen. These shonks don’t deserve to be paid let alone occupy a seat, they are FRAUDS in the worst degree. They can feel free to make the excuse it was just stoopidity, I think not, it was fraud.
100%, Joey. Much of the chemtrail slurry sprayed by bent (and well compensated) pilots comes from American Elements, Zionist CEO Michael Silver. These people are criminals.
4). The ocean is rising because we have cooling, and that is less evaporation. With all the rivers around the world running into the ocean and with less evaporation, the ocean will rise. With
warming, there is more evaporation, so the ocean will go down. You can easily check this by getting three small cans the same size and filling them up with water (the same amount of water in all three) and putting one in the deep freezer, one out in the sun on a hot day, and the third one in the refrigerator so the temperature is about 3 degrees so it will not freeze or evaporate; leave them for maybe 2 or 3 days. (Evaporation will not happen at a low temperature, or it is very very small.) Now when you check them, you will find the one out in the sun has had a lot of evaporation, or maybe there is no water left. The one in the refrigerator is the same, but the one in the deep freezer has frozen, and it has expanded about 10%, as it has risen up in the center. So now we will put the one in the deep freezer in the refrigerator and leave it for about a day, then see what has happened. You will see ice has melted, and it has the same amount of water as the one that has been in the refrigerator all the time. This is proof that when you freeze water, it expands about 10%, and when it melts, it shrinks the same amount, so what the scientists say is all lies. If what the scientists are saying is correct, then if your water is running low, just freeze it, and then when it melts, it will have increased by 10%. That is all lies.
