A FORMER Turning Point USA recruit mentored by Charlie Kirk has described how he and other young recruits were driven off to a city in Arizona where they were plied with large amounts of alcohol and then questioned about their loyalty to Israel.
Joshua Petersen, who is from Sacramento, California, posted on his Instagram page that had been undertaking a TPUSA training course with other young recruits when they were told they would be taken to a location for “group time”.
TPUSA is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Petersen was happy to take a break from the intense training but thought it strange when the “Christian conservative” organisation loaded him and the other recruits into two rented stripper vans i.e. party vans decked out with poles for pole dancers.
The trainers, who said they were from previous intakes, said they would show them around the city. They were training at a location outside of the city, which Peterson did not name. Presumably it would be the state capitol Phoenix.
The group ended up at bars where the trainers supplied alcohol until some of them became “very drunk” and then began singling out the recruits, taking them outside one by one.
Petersen was then paired off with two trainers, who began to question him about his views on Israel. He told them he thought it was “a good country” – as he believed at the time.
They then asked him what he thought about Mossad and the IDF, and again he gave them an approving answer, to which they responded: “What if we were part of Israeli forces and groups?”
Peterson said “oh that’s interesting …. so you’re working for Turning Point?” They said they had been for the past four or five years.
Peterson did not know if Turning Point knew of the situation but he confirmed that the men he was with were Israeli agents within the organisation and he knew that there were “many more of them” as well.
“We did end up bringing this up to our administration that this was going on and they said they would take care of it, and sure enough, nothing was done about it.” Peterson said the situation resulted in “a huge red flag for a lot of us”.
Petersen also went online to speak about a “stock market group” within TPUSA that had been “throwing millions of dollars at the stock market” for the past four years, but no-one was reported as being employed there.
On his Instagram page Petersen describes himself as “a Christian and value my faith very deeply. I lean conservative but believe that both sides can come together in peace and work for a better good.
“I see positives in both parties policies. Charlie Kirk was a mentor to me. I worked for him at Turning Point USA and Turning Point Faith.
“I met him many times and was mentored by him. After his murder I decided it was time for me to lead as he once told me I should.”
