An important policy that the Australian Government needs to look at is the rearming of its citizens especially in remote areas of Australia. Foreign countries who are enemies well know the logistics of invading remote areas, especially the remoteness of Australia when its citizens are armed. The enormity of an invasion limits them from even contemplating such an absurd situation. The bureaucrats need to apply a bit of logic to the thought. God save Australia, and people should start getting to know our Lord. A study of the Old Testament clearly shows that God can certainly take care of invading forces against his people. He is not worried about missiles, drones etc.
Yes, Australia will face a food shortage. Ho hum. Are we even concerned?
America will face a food shortage as all the brown faced pickers are in Camp Alligator fighting off mosquitos, snakes and also alligators in particular if they dare an escape. Trump was so excited about his ‘cost saving’ natural guards. What a hoot!!!

This summer, 1,500 Israeli soldiers will attend Jewish summer camps across North America. They will act as ambassadors for Israel as it carries out ethnic cleansing across Palestine. The Jewish community must reject this normalization of genocide.
It’s June, which means a similar scene is playing out at tens of thousands of Jewish houses across the continent. Duffel bags dug up from basements. Toiletries laid out on carpeted floors, emergency trips to the drug store for one final item. Last-minute clothing decisions. Bags of carefully curated candy. Tearful midnight goodbyes to school friends. For so many of us Jewish North Americans, the summers of our younger years mean one thing: sleepover camp. Unfortunately, it’s not just Jewish kids, teenagers, and twenty-somethings getting ready to go to one of the hundreds of Jewish camps in North America.
At a not insubstantial number of these camps, Israeli soldiers will also soon be in attendance, sleeping in cabins, giving guitar lessons, and telling their rapt, doe-eyed campers stories of heroic daring and the importance of maintaining Jewish power at all costs.

Caltrop is right, our enemy is much closer to us – the US wants war with China and we are the useful idiots they will use for that.
As for defences in the North… if we attacked China none of that would make any difference. China would retaliate and Australia would be the target.
So how about preventing war in the first place, do not listen to or trust the US and its war mongering – our government should say NO.. We have no enemies except those created for us by them.
And as for the US being our ally and coming to our aid etc etc, how many times have they set up others to take the fall and stabbed them in the back… quite a few ! Do not trust them.
As for making Australia the Lucky Country once more, if we didn’t have that place out in the desert that we have no control over, it could be a possibility but until that is gone, there is no hope of that. Whitlam tried to get rid of it, and they got rid of him..

Seems to me that Australia has rarely if EVER got its strategic priorities right.

It’s all a bit moot, we have to at least admit it.
Our entire population is congested into half a dozen undefendable sprawling urban landscapes, most all of them down south, and we have an entire continent occupied by scarcely 30 million people, half of whom are recent Third World immigrants who don’t even speak Australian.
And the entire so-called Australian Defence Force would be hard-pressed to safeguard anything more than a single country village.
What’s more, the country lacks any indigenous industrial capacity and depends ENTIRELY on weapons and munitions imports from the OTHER SIDE of the planet, and what embarrassingly few military aircraft and such that we DO have are just shiny obscenely overpriced obsolete Tonka toys that don’t even work and take literally DECADES to replace when they break or get broken.
And we have no fuel anyway, and no means to get to anywhere on the continent that we might decide we want to go, or to do anything remotely useful once we got there.
Meanwhile, the grossly overstacked and lopsided senior “Defence” beauracracy is jammed full of utterly incompetent and irretrievably useless overpaid fat cats and bombastic cowards, morons one and all, loyal only to their politically-captured career prospects and their big fat wallets, whose best efforts at military “planning” is to use the LAST conflict or the war before THAT, at least two or three generations back, as the template for their glorified ejaculatory cosplay.
All with no plausible resources nor the vision nor the cognition nor the creative innovation nor the patriotic motivation to give a genuine rat’s arse about the enduring survival of our country or its people. Because just like the entire entrenched ecosystem of paid-off sold-out Treasonous fake foreign-owned corporate political vermin here in Australia, the so-called ADF doesn’t work for us. Never did, and never will.

Defence Minister Richard Marles was dismissive of the Chinese Orca AI battleship I asked him about, at a local ethnic festival, earlier this year.

I definitely agree with Bob Katter…we need stronger defence along our northern coastline…..the areas where a whole army could land are so large and isolated.
