The value of Australian honours and meritorious awards continues to diminish as political parties hand them out like lollypops to their business elites and party faithful for often not so distinguished deeds.
Honours awards in many cases are well-deserved by community members for excellence or volunteering in community organisations or public servants being awarded meritorious awards for distinguished service such as firemen or police.
When disgraced Labor Victoria Premier and former hot dog vendor Dan Andrews was handed a Companion of the Order of Australia many people across the nation were shocked that such a grubby politician could ever be considered for any award while being responsible for the most shocking human rights abuses in Australian history.
Andrews orchestrated the longest and most restrictive lockdowns in the world during the Covid plandemic five years ago, the results of which are still being felt across financially and morally bankrupt Victoria.
His Covid vaxx policy managed to kill 801 aged care patients in nursing homes across Victoria.
Victoria Police have been regarded as mindless, vicious thugs for opening fire on peaceful Covid protesters at the Shrine of Resemblance in Melbourne in 2021. (above video)
Dozens of Melbournians were seriously injured and left with permanent scars from being wounded by large rubber bullets.
Vicpol robocops threw a 74 year old pensioner to the ground and pepper sprayed her for having the audacity to protest against Andrews’ horrific Covid response.
Protesters attacked by police during Covid uprisings recently were exonerated by a Victoria court where the judge criticized police for their brutality and unprovoked attacks on them and others who were assaulted when walking along the street minding their own business.
This was disgraced Dan Andrews’ regime and he was given an award for such a frightful legacy?
Similarly Western Australia Labor Premier Mark McGowan, a solicitor, rankled many Western Australians during Covid, locking up the vast state in 2020 not allowing entry or exit by the public after declaring a state of emergency and implementing borders between regions severely restricting movement of residents.
From March 2020, a range of restrictions were put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. Schools were prevented from organising gatherings of over 500, including swimming and sports carnivals, interschool carnivals, performances, concerts, exhibitions, fetes and fairs.
Gatherings of more than 500 people were banned. People coming from overseas were required to self-isolate for 14 days. On March 18, indoor gatherings of over 100 people were banned.
Then to top it off former Liberal PM Scott Morrison was handed a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in the General Division in June 2025 for introducing the entire Covid Event 201 bogus pandemic into Australia. Morrison left the economy in tatters with the country owing nearly $1 trillion to unknown creditors.
A Cairns News investigation found Morrison retired with at least $52m in his back pocket.
He and the Liberal National Party left more than 250,000 people vaccine-injured and at least 30,000 excess deaths according to the statistics for 2023-24 presented to the senate by South Australian Liberal Senator Alex Antic.
Since then there have been many more deaths from mRNA gene-altering injections. Every state government in place during the Covid scamdemic has been changed and the LNP wonders why nobody voted for them at the May 3 federal election?
The country has not recovered, leaving every man, woman and child in debt for a generation, most likely several generations after the woke Labor Party will have finished its term.
