One could be forgiven for forming the impression that in Victoria any comment against Andrews is considered “reactionary” and an egregious case of “blasphemy” punishable by a trial by ordeal.

Andrews did, indeed, privatise the Police: on 16 October 2019 I heard him utter these two lines about Victoria Police, on an ABC Classic FM newsbreak:
“The people of Victoria need to help Victoria Police to do their job.”
He went on to say:
“Victoria Police are now independent of the Parliament of Victoria.”
I issued him a Lawful Notice about that statement and received no rebuttal of my claim.
I also Notice him about his order to Victorians to wear masks, saying that he was thus liable for the cost and supply of the masks, and any harm that comes from wearing them
A week or two later the postman arrived with large white envelopes full of masks, for the tenants of all sixteen public housing units here.
The masks were from the Victorian government.
