Evidence is mounting that the RBA has crashed the consumer economy.
It’s no wonder, given record mortgage payments, the fixed-rate rest, stalled house prices, a record tax take and cratered disposable income.
Yesterday, we saw a shocking retail result for December at -2.7% month on month and 0. 8% year on year. Real volumes are going to be down -3%.
Some of it was Black Friday giveback, but certainly not all:
When we consider that the RBA hiked rates in November, the result is consistent with a consumer shock.
We also have December Labour Force, which showed an equally large tank in the number of employed people and was downright sick for hours worked:
The unemployment rate is lagging, but not for long. Especially so since we know the country is flooded with Albo’s Indian army.
Why should anyone brag about a couple of plots of land?, sites which our group has been working collectively on over many years?, – it really is no big deal, why are you trying to make a big deal about something which is a little project? [at least to us]. In fact where I am, there are many different collectives doing the same thing on different levels, it’s a growing grass roots movement here, so its really no big fuss, and hardly worth talking about actually, – and its not pious, – its just extremely good fun, great community bonding and deeply satisfying on many levels. [In fact, I’m the least pious person imaginable, I think everyone here knows that].
As the plots have been extremely neglected, they are actually cheap to purchase, but they do need work, which is where the local community comes in. The practical work is the most satisfying part, as everyone mucks in, and very soon, as a different season kicks in, I’ll be out foraging in the hedgerows and watercourses collecting seeds and root cuttings as I always do, – with or without your blessing. Sorry but I’m not about to change my life for you.
And no, they are not cover stories for ‘end time bunkers’!, as I don’t hold those childish fears, – I’m a grown up and I don’t fear death, never have, never will, – they are just as I said, – plots of land which we re-wild with formerly common, but now rare and scarce indigenous flora, each with their own plant specific butterflies and moths [a very fussy lot!]. For me personally, as I’m pretty adept at plant recognition by the leaves alone, my self-appointed role consists of locating rare pockets of plants in the wild, which are then used as propagation source material. Others then cultivate the material and reintroduce them to the sites, so we now have a growing catalogue of scarce plants all in one place. The site now doubles up as a natural nursery and seed bank, and as we acquire future plots, we can now source the required plants from our own stock. So once again, – there are no nuclear bunkers on site to my knowledge, – but we do have some rabbit burrows, – do they count?
What kind of stupid mind equates a simple re-wilding project with ‘armageddon bunkers’? – FFS get a life!
Who said anyone was rich?, certainly not I [and its all relative anyway!], – you appear to have a habit of attempting to superimpose your own mental fabrications onto other peoples realities. We just use financial and tax free vehicles to our advantage as any semi-intelligent people should do. Only a complete ignoramus reaches a certain age, whilst still failing to realise they can legally reduce or eliminate their taxes, – and you don’t have to be rich to do this, just moderately smart.

So just continue being somebody’s tax slave till you die, or if you come to the realisation that you no longer enjoy being someone’s milch-cow, then maybe stop watching useless videos about MMM, and start getting to grips with the ‘childishly simple’ mechanics of what the Mustachians and FIRE folks are doing, – and get some other dumb asses to pay your taxes for you!.

Why is it a bizarre comment?, it looks like your trying to place all rich people in the same box, which is no different to saying all poor people are good people, which is utter nonsense. Many rich people come from humble backgrounds, so why condemn people for being successful?

To be honest, myself and other semi-intelligent people are continually growing and withdrawing [legally tax free] capital from the international free trade markets [we do not do insider trading, etc, just honest investing, trading, and supporting growing young companies and the workforce], which use to buy up destroyed land, which we then re-wild with indigenous flora, secure it in a trust, and leave it as Common Land for the common people. Some of these projects are decades in the making, and my personal contribution will never be experienced by myself, – but that was never the point. We have already purchased two sites, and hopefully more to come, – all for the long suffering wildlife and the common people. We intend to create an archipelago of small sites over the very long term.
During my research into old successful families, I came across the Goldsmith family capital trust, and noted how the family are only permitted to live off the interest, whilst the underlying wealth generating capital cannot be touched under any circumstances. This I found was an excellent and well principled long-term strategy, where because of the ongoing capital appreciation, the future recipients receive larger and larger amounts of income.
And its basically this model, which I would like to implement for our aforementioned Common Land community projects, where likewise, it will be the future recipients who receive the benefits, – not myself. All will be kept in tax free vehicles through which to keep the capital self-sovereign, as we do for ourselves.
Where I differ to most people, is that I recognise I can learn something useful from all people, – I’m not picky, – rich man, poor man, they all have something to teach me.
We do not have to sink to the lowest common denominator, -as we are semi-intelligent.

I accept that some are more advantaged and better focussed than others in this world but the excess of tax avoidance, insider trading, lies, bribery, blackmail and corruption go well beyond natural advantage. Why should I be compelled to sink to the lowest common denominator. It will be interesting to see how your world view has changed a few years from now, when you have to put your “me first” principles up against others who are way out of your league. Maybe your idea of super-rich is cracking a million a year. Well, remember me if you’re still around in the 2030’s.

So you put your money into a tax haven, then Fink’s BlackRock was the investment house of choice with their cutting edge AI based returns, then little did you know your money was invested in Serco, Lord Elon Muck’s brain implant and Pzifer. As for tax havens, what most fail to realise is that these are not a rich persons thing, – they are a smart persons thing.
Most countries offer tax havens for little people, but only if they are smart enough to seek them out, and more importantly, – ‘to act’ upon the opportunity.
What’s the use of incessant reading and ‘knowing’ about international finance, ancient mercantile history and tax havens, if one is too dumb or indolent to the use the acquired knowledge to one’s advantage?, its just filling one’s head with more useless knowledge, – you might as well be reading kids comics.
Why wouldn’t any semi-intelligent, or sovereign individual not protect their wealth from Government predation via tax havens?
In the UK for example, even smart kids protect their investments, capital gains, income gains, etc, by keeping their wealth outside of banks and moving them into tax-free ISA wrappers. These are the low net individuals equivalent of the high net individuals offshore tax havens.
Most countries have their own arrangements in place, but only if people are prepared to search and act upon the options. Such vehicles constitute the bedrock of independent sovereign individual existence.
When all of one’s income generating wealth has been relocated into these tax free vehicles, one is now living in a little person’s digital offshore tax haven, – a little person’s San Marino, Andorra, or wherever.

The Socrates data (Global Market Watch yearly pattern) for the ASX and other Oz indices either reads ‘pressing higher,’ or ‘getting toppy.’ So big sells might be in the air followed by further outflows.
As for the Indians, they must be the surplus or stupid ones, as the Indian economy is the only global index that remains in a strong uptrend, whilst every other global economy has yet to recover from the vicious downtrends induced by the lockdown.
