Looking for some extra cash this weekend? – The Australian Electoral Commission needs your help!
But you have to be fully vaxxed and do not collapse on the job.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is hiring people to work for the AEC this Saturday or the days after, particularly in regional Queensland. These are paid roles.
Where necessary, the AEC will cover any accommodation and travel costs – so if you’re up for a paid weekend getaway keep reading!
What’s involved?
The AEC is looking for people to work in the following paid temporary roles in polling places this Saturday:
- Polling place Officer in Charge
- Polling place Second in Charge
- Declaration Voting Issuing Officer
- Polling Assistants.

All AEC election roles in polling places are paid a package rate. Details on the pay, terms and conditions can be found in the Collective Determination.
Working in a polling place is an all-day effort – but rewarding! Staff will start at around 7am and finish no later than 11pm.
Note: some roles require a police check.
COVID-19 safety
COVID-19 safety measures will be in place at polling places and other workplaces to protect AEC workers and voters. All temporary election workers will need to wear a face mask and be fully vaccinated.

OUT-FKING-RAGEOUS! No wonder they’re short staffed. Next thing you know, to “protect” AEC employees they’ll prohibit people from voting unless they submit to bio-engineering injections and constant boosters. .
The AEC bods coming up with such sht are so fkd in the head they need to be tested for syphilitic dementia, ASAP!
Why do we tolerate this crap?
To assist readers to understand what all those words mean, as a graduate of Gobbledegook 501… In an election to get rid of mRNA jab mandates, if you are unjabbed, you cannot help record votes, and if you are an anti-jab community you cannot vote anyway.
Imagine having to be fully juiced and wear a face mask from 7am to 11pm. No amount of money would be enough for that.
I applied months ago. Thought they would have dropped their mandates when most of country did, but of course, no, so that leaves me out of a job that I could have used. I’m volunteering to hand out HTV cards, so ….just like shopping, all mixed in together.
I applied, but of course, – ‘covid’. So I’m volunteering . Still no vaccination, so hope I don’t get sick from the vaxxed paid staff.
Regardless of your opinion or vaccination status, this is straight up discrimination, violation and denial of your right to be involved in your community. Secondly, with only days to go, how are you going to be fully trained in this short time? AEC is looking incompetent at best and fraudulent if you are not so kind.
