Some comments from a twitter thread (Sept 17, 2020) when it was allegedly used in the USA in relation to their riots:
“They played with the active denial system (heat ray) at my Base. It burned the shit out of one of our Officers. But we were all forced to use the term ‘intense heating sensation’ to the Press because the word ‘burn’ was NOT to be used. The ADS is no joke”
“So called Heat Ray is termed ‘Active Denial System (ADS) by Military.
‘Silent Sentinel’ by manufacturer Raytheon (NYSE:RTX). DOD wouldn’t employ it to Iraq for fear of it being labelled a ‘torture device’”
“It’s a non-lethal form of riot control with a potential for pea-sized blisters. Sounds like a bad sunburn”
“Flat sheets of aluminium foil are very effective against weapon. Hypothetically, make a shield/glue foil to it. Reflects the microwaves. Safety hazard. Possibly back in the direction they are being fired”
“Whenever I read stuff like this, I can’t shake the feeling….is doing it intentionally in the hope the protestors turn violent, give a reason to send in the Army, declare Martial Law…postpone elections”
“They are Military Grade weapons. They have no place or legal purpose on the streets of our Cities or Towns. Unarmed civilian protestors are not insurgents”

If we can cook a chicken with microwaves it would be astounding if they couldn’t burn a person or three with them.

Hi, Thanks for all of your reports, I pass most of them on to my e-mail list. I have a report of a very effective action in returning/ reflecting the signals back to the source by turning a concave surface ( like a police shield ) in the direction of the source. If you are interested in this info, I will search for it and send it to you. Best wishes, Hans K.

Raytheon invented & patented microwave cooking in 1945 but the microwave oven didn’t become a household appliance until 1967.
In 2002 the same company developed the vehicle mounted Active Denial System and in recent years a smaller version of the ADS, the Silent Guardian.
This stripped-down model is primarily marketed is a portable system operated and aimed with a joystick and aiming screen.
The device can be used for targets over 250 metres away and from the photos looks like what they were using on the crowd outside Parliament House.
Their ADS weapons were not used in Afghanistan as “too cruel to use against the Taliban”. True story easy to find.

Same company Radeon created them both.

Microwave ovens work well, they cook things quite quickly. ADS microwaves work even better. They cook things even more quickly and at much greater distance..
If I have the choice of “defrost”, “reheat” or “cook” I would settle for cooking the MF who authorised their use.
Enough said.
