Cairnsnews could be forgiven for missing something here. We got a media release claiming One Nation senators Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts would be opposing all government bills in the senate unless the vaccine mandates were stopped.

Pauline’s own bill to halt mandates was defeated yesterday in the senate by the duopoly LNP and Labor (naturally) and some of the token independents such as mad woman Jacquie Lambie..
Today there is an article by the ABC that Hanson and Roberts sided with the LNP Government voting down the establishment of an Integrity Commission for federal politicians.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-11-23/pauline-hanson-government-block-federal-icac-bill/100643150?
This blatant hypocrisy enhances the perception of many people that Pauline remains a true Liberal. Good luck Clive.
What more can we say?
Comment from James Ashby, Pauline Hanson’s Chief of Staff:
One Nation have committed to vote against all Government legislation until the Prime Minister removes the states ability to mandate COVID vaccines. While One Nation support the merits of a National ICAC, the Bill that went before the Senate today did not meet the requirements set by both One Nation Senators, and therefore they voted against it. If the Liberals voted the same way – that’s their choice. Neither One Nation Senator voted for the Government.

It would be interesting to see what Pauline and Malcolm have to say about this. Give them a chance to explain their actions before we condemn them.
Thanks Isaac. Pauline should have pre-empted her intention to vote down the Integrity Commission motion. She cannot have it both ways. Voting down such a contentious bill smacks of collusion. There is no other way of looking at it.Ed
?
Hi Ed
One Nation staffer said that the Bill did not meet the requirements set by both Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts, so this could have caused them to make a strategic decision re their former statement to oppose all govt bills in the senate (But of course I’m hypothesising).
I read there was a tied vote on the motion of 25 to 25, so no gain here re the Bill. (Is this strategic?)
But yes, theoretically, their votes weren’t separate.
Seems it is not Hanson who has lost credibility, it surely is the critic who needs to adjust their perception and lack of patriotic compliance
One thing I have learned in 78 years is that public officials and politicians slap each other’s backs, the justice system included. All commissions are generally a useless waste of time and money and a chance for the commissioners to make some big money. Nothing ever changes. I’m not sure that One Nation did wrong here, after all, didn’t they promise not to vote with the government or am I missing something here? At least they kept a promise. It’s unusual for politicians to keep a promise for good. Stopping the vaccine mandate and the Mao tyranny takes priority for me.
Yeah Alison Pauline and Malcolm Roberts voted down the Integrity Commission bill which would investigate corrupt pollies. The Liberals also voted it down so was Pauline’s vote separated from the Liberal votes? Editor
Pity that we don’t still have Don Chipp around – remember the Democrats (Chippocrats) – at least he was honest with his head screwed on right.
Pauline lost all credibility years ago; we will soon have the chance to vote people out of office; we will get the govt that we vote for.
“why after all the hype saying she would not support the LNP’s bills then vote for one? ”
Because politicians in Australia tell the sheep whatever they think the sheep want to hear while they do as they like. There is a massive disconnect between the truth and the mouth of a politician.
Hanson started off sincerely enough but it seems she’s learned to fit in with the disconnect culture. Seems she needs a little encouragement to return to decency.
I received an email update from One Nation saying that they are not giving up the fight to end the extreme measures of vaccine mandates and passports. They’re also looking at other measures they can take to enforce Australia’s constitutional rights and freedoms. They are not going to stop pushing and they’ll reintroduce the COVID-19 Vaccination Status (Prevention of Discrimination) Bill 2021.
I note that James Ashby, Pauline Hanson’s Chief of Staff, said the Bill that went before the Senate did not meet the requirements set by both One Nation Senators, and therefore they voted against it. If the Liberals voted the same way – that’s their choice. Neither One Nation Senator voted for the Government.
The Jacqui Lambie speech is great. At 6.31 her eyes get all slitty and then she loses it on the subject of ‘cash and power’ hissing and spitting. Hanson’s interview on Sky News gets her into such a tizz she reminds me of some of my favourite vids of psycho cats at the vet.

While we are there, here is a good one of psycho cat Susam.

Compare and contrast.
Yes good point Michel but why after all the hype saying she would not support the LNP’s bills then vote for one? Ed
What a wanker, you have no integrity or even a brain Pauline. You are such a failed sell out. You are rubbish and so is the ABC. There is no Joy left in this unlucky country and 80% of Aussies are fools. One very tough future for us old Nurses.
I disagree with your point of view in relation to PHON’s attempt in the Senate to get this private members bill passed. At least she has tried to do the right thing by the community, more so than the critics who have done absolutely nothing in trying to prevent a two tiered society in this country, the likes we have never seen before. To that end, I say kudos to you Pauline Hanson and Malcolm Roberts and for bringing five Government Senators to assist and support the bill and to bring in the debate with many unhinged senators from the independent senators such as Jacqui Lambie and the equally unhinged senators from the opposition and the Greens Party.
Saw Lambie’s rant. Fruit cake ingredients!
Maybe Pauline was holding off for more concise parameters that are supposed to be presented? [sound of crickets].
Then after the elections next year, maybe we can appropriately deal with the criminals that are currently destroying Australia and it’s citizens! I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT!!!!
Has Pauline lost the ploy. It sure seems like it to me. Then there was Ms Lambie. What a rampage. It was bloody pathetic. Jacqui what the blazes were you doing ? I know I expect steady reasoning from those in positions of authority or those making laws for our good governance. There are so few who deserve any respect. it concerns me for our beloved country, and all the little ones in my family.
Comeinspinner.
,
Well to my knowledge nothing has happened at all in regard to the Integrity Commission – if you saw Jacqui Lambie’s rant yesterday in the Senate it was a non event hasn’t even come up according to her!
I wouldn’t believe a damn thing the ABC says about anything!
Just can’t keep the bastards honest, can we! Not when they represent their party interests instead of their electorates. What happened to their “honour and privilege” of representing us. Shame on all the unprincipled and devious slugs who speak with their evil, forked tongues.
Hanson has just signed the death warrant for One Nation by being no better than the LNP-Labour/Greens duopoly. Her token representations about mandates fool no one.
Enough of the devils we already know. Time we gave somebody else a shot at screwing us. Hopefully they might just turn out to be a little less effective at it than the slime we’ve put up with. 🙂
The all voted for the Defense Legislation Amendment Bill Dec 2020 to give the government power to bring foreign security forces onto Australian soil and to indemnify them of crimes they commit against Australian people. Like the Lib/NP/Lab/Greens and ‘independents’ who voted for that bill , they voted yes for foreign troops on Australian soil committing crimes against the Australian people.
They are traitors.
The 1901 constitution does not provide for party politics. All members of the Commonwealth of Australia Parliament are to be representatives of their electorate only/first.
Integrity Commissions are a joke. There is NOT ONE politician who would allow a “real” one to be established.
Can you put the question to Pauline, why did you take this stance.
I can never take an ABC report as being factual or unbiased.

Pauline is a blight… Whenever she opines on things she doesnt understand she provides the corporate propaganda media with ammunition with which to ridicule, eg, “anti-vaxxers”… These days i wonder if that is her true & only function…
She has so many prejudices she’s been easily played by the government. They know how to frame an issues that will get her support…
I used to think here role was refreshing, novel, even – occasionally – independent….
no political party is the way forward for us. we have to have ethical, real people with total transparency. quite frankly, as of jan 1st 2004, when the crown was removed from allegiance, they illegally changed our constitution, therefore there are NO REAL governing bodies in australia. check out brian shaw’s site. become educated about this extremely important fact.
I have said all along, that career politicians are the scum of the earth. I am yet to be proved wrong!
Yep of course they are all interrelated and all need to be tried for treason and crimes against humanity. No present politician should be trusted or supported they all have to go.
voted against it no doubt because it would not exactly lead to favourable outcomes for PHON
Reblogged this on Nelle's journey.
yes she has
