A major military exercise is currently underway across North Queensland.
Over the next week residents in Forrest Beach, Lucinda, Halifax, Ingham, Abergowrie and Mount Fox can expect to see ADF and partner nation forces training in and around these locations during this time.
Australia is hosting the exercise along with troops from the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea.
The Bruce Highway will also see increased traffic from convoys of military vehicles over the coming week.
Training activities may include the use of pyrotechnics, blank ammunition, movement of armoured vehicles and use of helicopters. We ask the community to be aware, but not alarmed by their presence.
The ADF sincerely thanks the residents from the many communities hosting various components of the exercise for their continued support.
This training is vital to maintain Australia’s world-class military capability, ensuring our ADF is a respected and professional fighting force, ready to protect and defend Australia and its interests.
Cairns News hopes there are no DEI troops taking part. We would not like to see their fingernail polish get washed off in the tropical rain.

I thought the AMF was set up to defend Australia against foreign invaders, not to used against Australian citizens. That is why it was named the Australian Defence Force for so long. How wrong I may have been.

Not sure if any fuel comes directly from Singapore for the open market, A large amount of Australian fuel goes from Singapore to USA is unloaded and stored, then reloaded and shipped to Australia.
( hence it went up a dollar a ltr the same week Morrison made the deal )
The only fuel that’s directly from Singapore to my understanding is for the mega mining industry in Australia and the Aviation sector.

For as long as I can remember, inasmuch as I gave it any thought, the so-called ADF has never had the capability to even defend a single outback town, let alone an entire frigging continent.
One might speculate that’s the lot of a 4th World backwater colonial outpost, to provide the occasional expendable expeditionary platoon to go fight other people’s wars, but to never EVER get any fancy ideas about actually defending ITSELF.
So when the WEF instructs the WHO to send the UN to take our country, we’ve got nothing.

Military exercises were held regularly many many years ago From Rocky Creek to Chillagoe in FNQ, the exercises would go for weeks as the squadrons had to navigate on foot, camping out with limited supplies, finding fresh water and without being detected.
A couple of years ago the military had a exercises from Laura to Maytown, Lucky us Miners found them, they been lost out there for over a week, bogged to the ass in the latest useless 6WD vehicles and just about out of drinking water and tucker, they had no operational communication and about 60km of course on a cattle station.
That is why I continue to tell people our current military could not defend Green Island!
