… and you would be correct in thinking that.
A somewhat local example is the story of kiwi Dr. John Adams, who successfully patented a rotary magnetic generator which produced a surplus of electric energy sufficient to run itself plus external machinery and devices.
Dr. Adam’s patent was siezed by the New Zealand government under “national security” grounds and dropped down a black hole, never to be seen again.
Dr. Adams’ generator (termed the “Adams Motor”) was very similar to the “Bedini Motor”, invented by prolific American inventor John Bedini (sadly now deceased).
Both motors used permanent magnets mounted on a rotor which excited coils on a stator. Both had to be “tuned” for overunity operation, and both ran COLDER than the surrounding ambient environment (that should give a hint as to where the excess energy was coming from).
It’s not rocket science – if more people understood that, then perhaps more people with the resources to do so would be making the effort to expand our horizons and bring this stuff to the wider community, patents or not.

Farmers, typically, do not care how they make their money, or who they hurt in the process. Here are a few historical examples.
• Killing shearers (19th century).who formed a union to redress gross underpayment.
• Applying the worst pays in the country, for farm workers.
• Hiring foreign labour rather than pay Aussies a liveable wage.
• Closing down 150 abattoirs and destroying entire regions, for the sake of live export.
• Cutting skin and flesh off the backs of sheep rather than pay crutchers and daggers to shear off excess wool to prevent fly-strike.
• Pumping dairy cows full of rBST to force excessive and life-shortening milk production, which also causes chronic mastitis, adding pus to the milk; and causing obesity in consumers.
• Adopting GM crops, which introduce alien proteins into human metabolism.
Spraying and growing roundup-ready crops, causing lethal cancers.
• Pumping 70% of the world’s supply of antibiotics into feedlot beef and other factory farm animals, a practice that will one day cause more deaths than covid and mRNA jabs.
• Pushing recombinant bovine growth hormone rBGH) into the same feedlot cattle, also causing obesity in humans.

Am I some ignorant city slicker with no idea of rural reality. You judge… I started my working life in the saddle, working livestock. Later, I did much shearing and fencing, and then worked for Dalgety’s Stock and Station agent. I was the convenor of the NT Buffalo Producer’s Cooperative until the US BTEC destroyed our industry. Although I have had many other careers, I am still building and fencing in the outback, and clearing bush. And I’m in my 80th year.
On that note, thanks to those readers who were concerned for my safety duing my recent stint back out bush. I was busy slaving in the hot tropical sun, along with the traditional owners of Yinyikay and Rorruwuy Homelands. As long as farmers have a freehold title no one can forcibly acquire any part of that title, even the Government. What they try and do is intimidate you into contracting with you by cohesion in leasing or part land sale. Australia’s Torrens title laws make the owner the exclusive outright land holder above any other party interest.
