Slip, Slop, Slap is crap and could kill you
by Dr Mark Stengler
The United States Food and Drug Administration just made a SHOCKING confession.
They just straight-up admitted the advice they’ve been pushing on more than 300 million Americans isn’t just wrong…
It’s dangerous; it might even be deadly!
And odds are… you’ve followed this advice yourself.
Well, friend, it’s time to think twice about sunscreen — because the United States government just admitted the TRUTH about what’s inside it.
How to get SAFE protection from the sun
I’ve warned about the ingredients in sunscreen, including dangerous hormone blockers and chemicals even known to cause cancer.
The mainstream has dismissed that as alarmist… and those are the nicer ones.
Some have even claimed it’s a wild conspiracy theory!
Well, now the FDA itself has been forced to admit it’s neither alarmist nor conspiracy.
It’s reality.
The agency said that almost NONE of the regular ingredients in today’s most common sunscreens have been proven safe!
There are 16 common ingredients used in various sunscreens. Just two are definitively safe: titanium and/or zinc oxide (which, by the way, are the same ones I’ve recommended all along).
Two of the other 14 — PABA and trolamine salicylate, which are not commonly used in the United States — are definitely UNSAFE.
The feds say they need more evidence on the other 12…
But I can tell you right now many of them are absolutely dangerous.
One of the most common, oxybenzone, is a “weak estrogen” that can mess with your body’s hormone levels. Yet it’s tough to avoid: Environmental Working Group says it’s in 65 percent of non-mineral sunscreens.
But that doesn’t mean you have to risk sunburn anytime you hope to step outside this spring and summer.
And you certainly don’t have to hide indoors.
There are two steps you can take to protect your skin, cut your risks and enjoy the great outdoors all year long.
First, stop fearing the sun.
It wasn’t created to hurt you. It’s there because we all need it — and not just for sunlight and plants. Our bodies need it. Sun levels cue hormones such as melatonin, charge up immune-system T cells and stimulate the production of essentials such as vitamin D and nitric oxide.
You know your skin well; unless you easily burn, don’t worry about sun “safety” for short periods outside of 15-30 minutes, depending on your complexion.
Second, if you’re out longer or burn easily, look for a natural sunscreen with safe and proven ingredients such as the titanium and/or zinc oxide (that even the FDA now admits are your best options).

Slip, slop, slap?
Hmmm… never thought of soaking my whole body in synthetic and toxic chemicals for hours at a time. Might give it a shot when I’m ready to cark it.

I understand skin cancer levels rose after the introduction of slip, slop, slap. People need to understand that the sun is vital to our health, vitamin D cannot pass through the skin if you are wearing sunscreen and that is why so many people are now deficient in this very important vitamin that is essential for your immune system. The people that suffered most in hospitals were those deficient in this vitamin and not once did they recommend that people get their levels checked…
The sun is also antiseptic. It is necessary for all life on this planet to thrive – and the likes of Bill Gates are talking about dimming it ! If that happens this planet will become a bare rock…
There are plenty of organic natural sunscreen products… but always ensure that you get at least 15-20 minutes first, before applying anything. If you work inside all day make sure you take supplements of at at least D3 5000iu or more per day, best taken with K2. A simple blood test, Hydroxy 25, can test for vitamin D deficiency – find out what your levels are.

The best preparation for sun burned skin is aloe vera – just cut the leaf and apply. For best results apply every morning before sun exposure and again after.

Yep – The reason QLD is the skin cancer capital of the world is that we have gone with the propaganda and used all their poisonous chemical poisons..

The skin is the largest organ of the body, we all know that. I never apply sunscreen, neither has my mother who is now 84 ( although she vehemently swears we all wore sunscreen. Total BS. I was born in 72. These ads came out when I was kid a whilst I can’t 100% fact say the year, nor have I researched I think was around 1982 or so. Followed up by the grim reaper ads (of AIDS) 1986/87. This is my memory. All of my family who have applied mass amounts of sunscreen have ALL have had skin cancers removed. Neither my mother or I have had. Having said that in addition to sunscreen it is most definitely what they are spraying in the sky. Editor I can send you photos I took last night of the clouds here, never seen them ever in 51 years. It is right now raining!!!

Makes perfect sense, as what is applied onto the skin, gets absorbed + eventually goes right into the bloodstream.

The very last time I used that muck was while I was in the Tropics on a fishing boat in the 90’s and after applying it to my face my skin burned and broke open leaving a sore scar for a long length of time .
