THE pastor of a church on the outskirts of Edmonton, Alberta, has been reluctantly arrested by Royal Canadian Mounted Police for not enforcing so-called “orders” by Alberta Health Services – one of those health departments that claim to have absolute power over everything because a mutated or genetically-engineered corona virus is floating around.

The problem is “the virus”, as it almost daily referred to on media, actually hasn’t been isolated, and is very much like severe flu to those who catch it. Also like flu, it may even contribute to death if the infected person is already fighting other serious illnesses. However, according to Professor Karl Friston of the UK, between half and 80% of the population is non-susceptible to this corona virus infection.

What they call a “death from COVID-19” mostly involves a comorbidity, and frequently no COVID-19 diagnosis at all. And the “diagnosis” or the PCR test is also misleading, a fact now even recognised by the WHO. “Cases” are the mere detection of cold and flu virus DNA fragments in a person, who can be neither infectious nor symptomatic.

Do a lot of PCR testing and you get a lot of “cases”, which triggers the media, health departments and most premiers into “authority mode” so they can come save us again with another round COVID-19 shutdowns that actually do untold harm to the economy. But the big global corporates are, of course, essential business and can stay open, unlike the thousands of small businesses that actually keep the largest part of a normal economy running.

Now the Canadian pastor, James Coates of Grace Life Church, following the lead of other North American pastors like John MacArthur and Che Ahn of California and Kevin Wilson of Virginia, does not entirely buy the COVID pandemic narrative, but initially took the required measures. His church met only 29 times in the year and went online the rest of the time.

The pastor, with the strong support of his congregation and other Christians, is standing up to the incessant demands of the new global health dictatorship. He faces arrest again by the RCMP but is quite prepared for it, because he sees the right of the church to gather, with reasonable deference to health concerns, as obedience to God. Alberta Health Services says only 15% of his building space can be used, masks must be worn, social distancing must be observed and no-one can simply decide to go to the church if they are not a member already. In other words, the government now runs his church in violation of the western tradition of mutual respect between church and state.

“We are gravely concerned that COVID-19 is being used to fundamentally alter society and strip us all of our civil liberties,” a statement from the church reads. A later statement reads: “If anything, we see our actions as contributing to [COVID-19’s] end – the end of destructive lockdowns and the end of the attempt to institutionalize the debilitating fear of viral infections.”

Speaking on the web channel CrossPolitic Pastor Coates said when members of the RCMP came to Grace Life Church to arrest Pastor Coates, the congregation game them a standing ovation as a Christian act of honour towards those in authority, in accordance with St Paul’s teaching in chapter 13 of the Letter to Romans. The RCMP appreciated the gesture and returned it with as much grace as they could in the circumstances. “I think they would have preferred not to have had this battle, but we’ve chosen not to budge,” Pastor Coates said.

He sees this confrontation as a time when Christian doctrine is being challenged and being put to the test. “That’s when robustness comes to our doctrinal convictions.” Other churches in the area signed a letter contradicting Grace Life’s stand, saying churches should go beyond what they are being asked to do by health authorities i.e. the turn-the-other-cheek position.

But Coates, like many others, sees more to the current lockdowns and “health orders” than just simple measures to prevent the spread of a virus. “With the declared public health emergency that creates that whole new system of government law because you declare a health emergency that gives all this power to Alberta Health Services and now, they have this unelected authority to enforce government edicts… When will it end? You’ve got new variants that are coming in. Every time a new virus comes in here’s the precedent on how to handle it. This is significant in altering the way that society functions. I would say we’re at risk of losing civil liberties that we’ve enjoyed in this country since its inception.”

The RCMP sent officers to GraceLife’s February 14th service, but no arrests were made. Inspector Mike Lokken said the RCMP “would not interrupt church services, prohibit services, nor deny peoples’ right to practice their religion” but “merely ensure that public health restrictions are adhered to while doing so”.

Pastor Coates’ stand shares some of the concerns of Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who was criticized in May last year for calling COVID-19 “an influenza that does not generally threaten life, apart from the most elderly, the immunocompromised, and those with comorbidities.”

“We cannot continue indefinitely to impair the social and economic — as well as the mental health and physiological health of the broader population — for potentially a year for an influenza that does not generally threaten life apart from the elderly and the immunocompromised,” the premier told the legislature.
Premier Kenney is one of the few state leaders worldwide to tell the truth, but the province’s health bureaucrats appear to be under the control of same “global health” mafia calling the shots across the planet and forcing compliance with the agenda.
