There is a massive divide between the residents of the conurbations of capital cities and those of regional, rural and remote Australia. This divide was reaffirmed by the voting in the 2023 VOICE Referendum with many electorates centred about our capital cities voting Yes while all regional, rural and remote electorates voted NO.
While there are calls to unite a number of minor parties and the defection of various individuals of the Liberal and National Parties, those involved have a perceived position of power and influence which they will not relinquish on the vagary that joining or forming a new entity will provide them with an advantage. Additionally, PHON and UAP have zero interest in grassroots members and current members of any political party are afraid to cut the umbilical cord.
With KAP it is all about the branding and it has never had a policy setting to effectively replace the National Party that deserted regional, rural and remote Queensland when it merged with the Liberals.
We need a incarnation of of what was the Queensland National Party without the baggage. New name and ZERO influence from SEQ power brokers! There are some old guard Nationals within the LNP probing opportunities for its resurrection but will do nothing till some entity such as the New Country Queensland Party or Regional Australia Party (QLD) achieve political party registration through their membership numbers.

The photo in this article was taken in 2017 when touring the length and breadth of Queensland from Cairns to Weipa, Georgetown, Croydon, Normanton, Mount Isa, Cloncurry, Julia Creek, Hughenden, Charters Towers, Townsville, Ayr, Bowen, Mackay, Yeppoon, Rockhampton Gladstone, Brisbane, Monto, Biloela, Blackwater, Emerald, Clermont and back to Cairns towing a tailer seeking support of a petition for a referendum on a separate Northern Queensland State.
The petition was in response to the Electoral Boundary Redistribution that provided SEQ with four additional seats in the Brisbane parliament further diminishing the political representation of Northern Queensland (Central and North). The next redistribution will be prior to the 2028 election and the ECQ will need to redraw the electoral boundaries to provide for the more than 550,000 additional voters enrolled since 2017.
With the government unlikely being willing to again increase the number parliamentary seats, the redistribution will see two Northern Queensland electorates abolished to provide for the creation of two seats in SEQ. Again, the political representation of Central and North Queensland will be diminished.
While traipsing around the countryside trying to establish public awareness of an issue requiring grassroots support, the dress code varies as do the opportunities to make your case. There have been a number ‘town hall’ events where I have donned the ‘bag of fruit’ and with 24years in the ADF you can be assure my shoes are polished.
The beard is a result of a bad 2021, Christmas challenge when I came to the dinner table unshaven and the upshot is that I have to get back to the same weight I was when I left the ADF. So 12kg down and 7 to go. However, the better half likes it and has been less than helpful cooking and baking.
For Victor S Sturgeon – I would be interested to know if there is any sovereign democratic country were the constitution specifically provides for or prohibits the establishment of political parties. They seem to have been around since counties did away with absolute monarchs and are an accepted part of the political landscape.
For Ian Moon – Regional Australia Party (QLD) has zero affiliation with any other political party and primarily wants to occupy the centre space in regional Queensland. As for the Nations, they come with too much baggage and have deserted Regional Queensland in favour of a feathered nest in the Brisbane headquarters of the SEQ centric Liberal Party. Worst still is the NSW State Nationals, though a separate entity they are jointed at the hip with the Liberals and losing their supporter base which has lose four western NSW seats to independents since 2016.
Their leader, Dugald Saunders, the member Dubbo is often in photo opportunities seen breaking ground for wind and solar farms. Between water policy and support for renewable the Nationals will be booted from more NSW Regional electorates west of the Great Divide.
For brianajnz – Regional Australia Party (QLD) has policies published on its website https://www.regionals.org.au/ and drafting more. However, policies must be in keeping with the party’s objectives as detailed in our constitution. You cannot meet your objective of having smaller government and policies requiring greater direct government intervention and participation. However, in regards to infrastructure and utilities, they need to retain ownership and be mandated to deliver plentiful and cheap water and electricity to enable reindustrialization but without taxpayer subsidises.
For Fed Up! – I have no ideal what this article has to do with the exposure of 28 elite Australian paedophiles.
For Dennis – Military juntas have been notorious for killing and imprisoning dissenters. The use of police by their political masters as we saw during COVID was bad enough let alone using our military for their own ends.

The National Socialists went from a small party of around 10 in 1919 to a majority, won the elections in 1933 and created 6 – 7 million jobs in three years. The place boomed. Their success was on the back of an industrial economy and exports.

You will not find mention of political parties,in our 1901 Constitution, nor will you find any referendum asking the people to allow these satanic globalist organisations to exist.
