Every phone in the UK will get an emergency alert next weekend – and this is what it’s going to say:
The text that will appear has now been revealed – and it will say: “This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there’s a life-threatening emergency nearby.
“In a real emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe. Visit gov.uk/alerts for more information.
“This is a test. You do not need to take any action.”
The message will be received on 4G and 5G mobile phones along with sound and vibration for up to 10 seconds, even if devices are on silent.
Phone users will be prompted to click “OK” on their home screen or swipe away from the message before being able to continue using their device.

There was an emergency warning at 12.15 today in Sydney and we were advised it was a test. There were electronic signs on the freeway going into and out of the cbd showing this. From a reader

Be aware? This is invasion of personal privacy and an indictable action, These devices are “private personal property” paid for by the owner and any action not approved by the owner could be considered a crime. Over the landline system it is a different situation as the user has paid for the use of the handset, which has no other purpose but connection to the network. The mistake with all this infantile control freak behaviour by governments is a genuine “INVASION of personal privacy.” I take it this action has the approval of a full seating of Parliament.? I’ll bet it hasn’t. It is about time the General Public brought government “control freaks to their knees? We are not in a “Time of War”, this action is tantamount to a “Act of War, by government on a supposed free public.”
Been there, done that. January 2017 in Hawaii this message popped up on my phone, “Emergency Alert. Ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill.” Three people approached me in a blind panic, “Have you seen this?!” Yeah, I thought, still time for a couple more waves.
This could be of some assistance to those who know that when sheeple are alerted, instructed and herded into vans, trains etc and transported to covid camps, smart zones, secure locations or whatever – it is time to grab the bug out bag and get out of the area by a route previously scouted, hidden and well known.

At an event-scheduled moment I will be smashing my phone and dumping the pieces in the council main office.
and also keeping tract of where you arebecause if they know your phone number they know how to reaxh you if need be,
I’ve heard stories that the Australian military will send out emergency warnings, as a way of rounding up all the arseholes they want to detain… but I haven’t heard we won’t be able to use our devices again unless we respond. That sounds “controlling”. I wonder if just re-booting your phone will bypass that…

Thereafter, life without a control device, sounds alright to me.
