Residents who were locked inside their homes while gunshots rang out through their quiet North Queensland neighborhood are speaking to counselors about their experiences.
Officers conducted operations from the kitchens and yards of some homes, forcing some residents to be evacuated.
The sounds of a speaker used by police to negotiate with the man could be heard by residents until the early hours of Monday morning.
The siege ended at 6.45am on Monday, when police found the 50-year-old gunman deceased inside a home.

Outreach teams are doorknocking residents in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan after a 10-hour siege on Sunday night.
Police officers were forced to seek refuge in nearby homes when a man fired a “significant” number of shots at houses and police vehicles.
Five vehicles were seriously damaged after being sprayed by bullets.
Police established a broad exclusion zone, which meant people were not allowed to leave their properties or come in or out of the area.
Dozens of officers were involved in the response, including negotiators, the dog squad and the Specialist Emergency Response Team (SERT) team.

This sounds like mind control. Possibly the mrna has something to do with it – but for DECADES people have unknowingly committed horrendous crimes while under mind control. I’ll never forget the 15 yo in the US who committed such a crime at his school. He’d NEVER shot a gun in his life. In fact, he had NEVER even handled a gun!!! Yet, he was able to shoot head shots and killed many students with a gun owned by his dad which was locked up – AND, he miraculously knew how to put bullets in the thing. When arrested, he was in a trance-like state and could not comprehend anything! He couldn’t even talk – it was like he knew had no language. And a day or so later in court – the horrific and dazed look on his face as he learned what he “supposedly” did was absolutely stunned disblief!

Why is it that each fact is said twice? We readers can remember data for several minutes without too much trouble, yet every news report is a basic repetition of the headline, which is then reiterated at least one further time later in the text.
Compounding the sheer stupidity of this, it is seldom that any plausible explanation of the reported event takes place. And if it’s on TV, the perpetrator of a crime is fuzzed out so we can’t recognize, him/her/it. I see a time in the future when readers/viewers will march as a vengeful horde into media offices and studios and pulverise the perpetrators until they are but a vague red smudge on the floor.
Sadly, it seems as though this must become the fate of journalists until a handful of survivors finally get the message… identify the facts, convey these to the audience, then shut the FU.
