I know a man, a manly man, a real man. Had to drop him off at the airport in Cairns, 5+ hr trip, he was going out west. Because he refuses to wear a mask & humour bs, I thought “here’s the go, I’ll go wait up on a main road somewhere, turned my mobile on as I expected he’d call & say Et pick me up the bastards won’t let me in, or…. won’t let me on the plane” I waited over an hour & 1/2, no call, didn’t see any police cars rushing that way, so hoped he was ok as I drove away back to the mountains. Now I’m assuming it may have been a different scenario if he was going to a big city, I expected I’d have to bail him out of jail, that’s how fearful I was for him, I won’t get on a plane, I won’t wear a mask but I’m worried about the pilot getting me there, let’s face it you wouldn’t get on the back of a motorbike with someone that had too much to drink…but then, he’s always lived on the jagged edge of danger & it didn’t phase him a bit.
