In 1966 “Common Core Education” was introduced into Australian “Public” Schools along with the plastic money. After then “classic education subjects” such as French, German, Latin, History and Commerce were elective subjects in the High Schools, but one had to have high marks in exams to be able to do those subjects, whereas those subjects were core subjects in “Private Schools”. Morals Education which came in the form of religious studies were removed but continued in Private Schools. For me it wasn’t until the ’90s that I undertook a major study of “How to Study”. But in the ’60s student numbers in classes were massively increased therefore the teachers were so overwhelmed that they didn’t have time to teach “How To Study”. When I learned “How To Study” I then became interested in the bigger issues of life because I knew how to understand “nomenclature” or “specialised (subject) words. The Constitution, for example, contains many specialised words and the common educated people mostly don’t know how to understand them, nor do they know how to go about understanding them. There isn’t a Commonwealth of Australia Constitution for Dummies. Legal documents, legal procedure docs, laws published all contain specialised words that can be found in the glossary of the documents but one has to search to the glossary for each of those documents because they are not included in the issue or publication of them.
