“It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence,” one U.S. official said. “It’s more important to get out ahead of them [the Russians], Putin specifically, before they do something.”
“It was an attention-grabbing assertion that made headlines around the world: U.S. officials said they had indications suggesting Russia might be preparing to use chemical agents in Ukraine.”
“President Joe Biden later said it publicly. But three U.S. officials told NBC News this week there is no evidence Russia has brought any chemical weapons near Ukraine. They said the U.S. released the information to deter Russia from using the banned munitions.”
“It’s one of a string of examples of the Biden administration’s breaking with recent precedent by deploying declassified intelligence as part of an information war against Russia. The administration has done so even when the intelligence wasn’t rock solid, officials said, to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off balance. Coordinated by the White House National Security Council, the unprecedented intelligence releases have been so frequent and voluminous, officials said, that intelligence agencies had to devote more staff members to work on the declassification process, scrubbing the information so it wouldn’t betray sources and methods.”
Then Moscow’s Embassy in Washington put the USA straight. “We took note of the provocative statements made by Press Secretary of the US Department of State Ned Price at a briefing on April 12 that our country could possibly use chemical weapons in the light of the alleged failures of the special military operation in Ukraine.”
“Ned Price once again distinguished himself by his idle talk, not substantiated by a single piece of evidence, the embassy added.”
“The diplomats noted that the Russian armed forces “do not and cannot have any chemical warfare agents” at their disposal, because Russia eliminated all chemical weapons stockpiles back in 2017.”
“The information confirmed by the Russian Defence Ministry on the preparation of provocations by Ukrainian radicals with the use of chemicals is disturbing. We also have questions about the origin of these substances,” the statement says.”
“We call on Washington to stop spreading disinformation. Instead, colleagues should have intensified the process of chemical demilitarization of their country. The United States remains the only state party to the Chemical Weapons Convention that has not fulfilled the international commitments it made,” the statement adds.”
“The American arsenal of weapons of this type poses a real threat to humanity,” it continued.
“Russian Defense Ministry’s Spokesman, Major Gen. Igor Konashenkov stated earlier that Ukraine’s security service SBU was staging a provocation with the use of toxic substances against civilians. He stressed that the Russian armed forces, engaged in the special military operation in Ukraine, have no chemical weapons at their disposal.”
“The Pentagon’s claims regarding its “concerns” about chemical weapons are questionable in light of recent admissions by US intelligence that its own information about the Ukrainian conflict has been less than “rock solid”. An NBC report from last week featured US officials boasting about releasing misinformation in an effort to “undermine Moscow’s propaganda and prevent Russia from defining how the war is perceived in the world”. The report specifically cited rumors Moscow was plotting to use chemical weapons as bogus.”

A group of witches in Ukraine is planning to hold a three-part ritual to punish and stop Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Taking to Instagram, Kiev-based Witch Cauldron shop put out a statement, saying the ‘witches’ will perform the ritual in collaboration with their foreign partners….
“On March 31, on the 29th lunar day, the day of corruption and curses, we, the witches of Ukraine, in collaboration with foreign partners, will perform a ritual of punishing the enemy of the Ukrainian people – Vladimir Putin,” the shop said on Instagram.

The Russian Patriarchal Church believes that the Ukrainian government is using “witches and satanic rites” against the occupiers.
Archpriest of the ROC Andriy Tkachov made such a statement quite seriously.
The priest stated that Ukraine allegedly has nothing left but to ask for help from demons, Satanists and sorcerers. Tkachev addressed the Russian audience:
“Obviously, all human means have run out, demonic means have begun … Arestovich’s appeal was to witches, to the sorcery community of Ukraine. They responded to him and announced some rites,” Tkachev said.

Dated 5 April, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, briefed the UN Security Council via videoconference. The whole session report is long, but some interesting statements were made by the Ukrainian President.
Here are a few excerpts.
President Zelenskyy stated, “To support peace in Ukraine, the Council must either remove the Russian Federation from the organ as an aggressor and source of war, so it cannot block decisions made about its own war, or the Council can “dissolve yourselves altogether” if there is nothing it can do other than engage in conversation.”
“He proposed the convening of a global conference in Kyiv to determine how to reform the world security system, establish guarantees for the recognition of borders and the integrity of countries, and to assert the rule of international law.”
He said, “We must do everything within our power to pass on to the next generation an effective United Nations”, with the ability to respond preventively to security challenges and force the aggressors to peace. “The power of peace must become dominant.”
“For its part, Ukraine stands ready to provide a platform for an office of a newly updated security system. He proposed the creation of a “U24 office” that specializes in preventive measures to maintain peace and recalled his country’s evacuation of more than 1,000 people from Afghanistan at its own expense, taking in people of different nationalities and ethnic groups, without distinction. “We helped all of them,” he emphasized, conveying its moral right to propose reform of global security system.”
During the course of the meeting, the Russian Federation’s representative implored “Ukraine’s President to recognize that his country is only a pawn in the geopolitical game against the Russian Federation. President Zelenskyy should find a solution, because “we came to Ukraine to bring long-awaited peace to the blood-soaked land of Donbas”. He called for cutting out the malignant Nazi tumour that is consuming Ukraine and would, in time, consume the Russian Federation, urging Mr. Zelenskyy not to allow the West to achieve its goals.”
The only country to mention NATO was China.
“China’s delegate said that the disturbing images from Bucha must be verified before jumping to conclusions and accusations. Citing the negative impact of sanctions against the Russian Federation on developing countries, he said such measures are not effective and only expedite the spillover effects. Indiscriminate sanctions are tantamount to weaponizing the world economy, he pointed out, adding that smaller countries should not be caught between the great Powers and must not be forced to take sides. He urged the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) members to engage with the Russian Federation head-on to establish a balanced, effective and sustainable security framework in the region. Beijing will play a constructive and responsible role in that regard.”

“IZUMI NAKAMITSU, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, said she has been informed of the Russian Federation’s submission of new documents regarding allegations of biological weapons programmes in Ukraine.”
“As she informed the Council in a similar meeting on 11 March, the United Nations is not aware of any such biological weapons programmes. Noting that the Organization currently has neither the mandate nor the technical or operational capacity to investigate such information, she said both the Russian Federation and Ukraine are States parties to the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention, which effectively prohibits the development, production, acquisition, transfer, stockpiling and use of biological and toxin weapons.”
“Outlining possible courses of action for resolving inter-State problems under that Convention — which include the possible convening of a consultative meeting — she said the Office for Disarmament Affairs stands ready to support any procedures under its terms that States parties may decide to use. Turning to the issue of the safety and security of Ukraine’s nuclear power facilities, she said the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that according to the Ukrainian authorities, all safety systems at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant remained fully functional as of 17 March, following the site’s loss of connection to a third external power line linking it to the national electricity grid.”
“Although officials from the Russian Federation’s State nuclear power company were present at the facilities in southern Ukraine, she said, Ukrainian staff continue to operate the plant. The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant remains connected to the national electricity grid, following reconnection on 14 March. However, Ukrainian operators and guards have not been able to rotate for three weeks. IAEA reports that, according to the Ukrainian authorities, eight of the country’s 15 reactors remain operational. Meanwhile, IAEA is still not receiving remote data transmission from its monitoring systems installed at Chernobyl, but such data was being transferred to IAEA headquarters from the other nuclear power plants in Ukraine.”

NEBENZIA (Russian Federation) recalled that, in the course of his country’s special military operation in Ukraine, information was discovered of dangerous projects related to a biological and weapons programme in Ukraine, backed by Western colleagues. Last week, when confronted by such evidence, the United States delegate was not able to explain documentary proof of such cooperation — namely, of a 2005 agreement signed between United States and Ukrainian ministers, which laid out support for joint biological research on Ukrainian territory. Over the last week, new details have come to light, namely that the components for biological weapons were being created on Ukrainian territory. Indeed, he said, the United States was not assisting the Ukrainian Ministry of Health as it claimed, but rather the Ministry of Defence. The Russian Federation has circulated proof of that agreement to the Council, including proof of direct funding to Ukraine amounting to $32 million and of research direction by the Pentagon.”
“The representatives of the United States continue to muddle that information, asserting that the country does not operate in any biological laboratories in Ukraine, “but the facts show otherwise”, he continued. In fact, the Ukrainian authorities gave the United States carte blanche to carry out dangerous experiments on its territory in return for free travel and accommodations to international conferences. Describing the use of the Ukrainian territory by the United States as cynical, he called on other countries that provide such access to Washington, D.C., to carefully study their cooperation contracts and to share data on the activities of some 360 laboratories under United States control around the world.”
“In Ukraine, he said, evidence points to studies that were conducted on Crimean-Congo fever, leptospirosis and other dangerous pathogens. As those are naturally present in both Ukraine and the Russian Federation, their use could then be easily dressed up as naturally occurring. In that context, he called for more attention to be paid to the contractors selected by the United States to carry out such research, namely the Black & Veatch company. Noting that research into six families of viruses — including coronaviruses — were identified in the United States-Ukraine research since 2009, he said documents now reveal the involvement of the Kharkov Institute, which was central in studying how such illnesses could pass from bats into humans. Ukrainian specialists were not informed of associated risks and were kept in the dark as to the real goals of the research. Meanwhile, biological waste was transported long distances and evidence was often destroyed.”
“Spotlighting the United States Government staff member Joanna Wintrol as the individual who signed the documents found by the Russian Federation, he stated: “We are talking about more and more proof that, at the heart of Central Europe, a dangerous biological operation was being carried out.” Recalling that, in 2018, residents of Luhansk and Donetsk saw the spread of a new, deadly, multi-resistant strain of tuberculosis, he stressed that the outbreak now “does not look like a coincidence”. The Russian Federation has long pushed for an additional protocol to the Biological Weapons Convention to provide more transparency on such activities, but the United States has blocked it. Today, it is evident that the facts discovered are “only the tip of the iceberg”. The Russian Federation will continue to keep the international community informed as more facts emerge, he said.”
“KHALILAH HACKMAN (Ghana) reaffirmed that a conclusive determination of Ukraine’s biological programme can only be made after assessments by internationally credited bodies. The weaponization of chemical or biological agents would be unconscionable and should not be contemplated. The international community must forge consensus towards the creation of a verification regime for the Biological Weapons Convention, given recent global developments, she said, stressing that the possession of weapons of mass destruction neither assures international peace nor national security…”
“RONALDO COSTA FILHO (Brazil) requested Council members to refrain from attempting to interpret his country’s position on any issue, stressing that it is “perfectly capable of presenting its own views”. Fifty years ago, Brazil adopted the Biological Weapons Convention, determined to exclude the possibility of such agents and toxins from being used as weapons. It took that important step convinced that such use would be repugnant to the conscience of humankind. Today, for the second time in a week, the Council has gathered to discuss alleged development, production and stockpiling of such abhorrent weapons. Accusations of this gravity must be thoroughly substantiated by solid evidence, which must be presented to and confirmed by an independent and impartial authority as foreseen in the Convention’s Article VI. Brazil has long supported the creation of a multilateral verification protocol to the Convention, with measures to guarantee protection and security against emerging threats. The situation today only reinforces the need to establish such a mechanism. Brazil looks forward to Convention’s ninth review conference, he said, calling for a restart of negotiations to strengthen the regime, including by creating a protocol and deepening discussions on biosafety and security. Stressing that legitimate scientific and technological research should be kept distinct from possible violations of the prohibition of the development and production of biological weapons “if we wish to preserve the current biological weapons regime”, he said research into new and dangerous pathogens should be subject to strict transparency mechanisms. He condemned in the strongest possible terms the use or threat thereof of chemical or biological weapons by anyone, under any circumstances.”
“STEPHANIE NGONYO MUIGAI (Kenya) … Any allegation of development of biological weapons in contravention of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Biological Weapons must not be taken lightly, she emphasized, calling on all State parties to the Convention to make use of the established mechanisms to investigate such allegations and to seize the opportunity of the Ninth Review Conference later this year to strengthen the biological weapons regime.”
“RAVINDRA RAGUTTAHALLI (India) stressed that his country attaches high importance to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention as a key global and non-discriminatory disarmament instrument, prohibiting an entire category of weapons of mass destruction. Any matter relating to obligations under the Convention should be addressed as per its provisions and through consultations and cooperation between the parties concerned…”
“ZHANG JUN (China) said he shared the desire of the international community to achieve a ceasefire as soon as possible in order to avoid more civilian casualties. That the Russian Federation and Ukraine have held four negotiation rounds and “stay in touch with each other” offers hope for a ceasefire. China will continue to facilitate dialogue and supports the United Nations in ramping up mediation efforts. He encouraged parties to carry out activities that are conducive to peace talks, pointing to the goal of European security. He expressed hope that the United States, European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) can engage the Russian Federation in a comprehensive dialogue that explores ways to put in place a balanced, effective and sustainable European security architecture, based on the principle of “indivisible security”. China’s position on weapons of mass destruction is clear, he affirmed, noting that it stands for their complete prohibition and destruction. It opposes the development, possession and use of any such weapons by any country, and he urged those that have yet to do so to destroy their stockpiles. He called for early negotiations of the Biological Weapons Convention verification regime, adding that China has been a victim of biological and chemical weapons use. Stressing that any information on biological military activities should trigger “high concern” by the international community, he urged the relevant parties to take a responsible approach. The Russian Federation has reviewed new documents, and he encouraged the party concerned to respond to questions and offer timely, comprehensive clarifications to remove the international community’s doubts. “We do not consider it too much to ask,” he said, cautioning against the use of any double standards.”
“MOHAMED ISSA ABUSHAHAB (United Arab Emirates) said the use of biological weapons or other weapons of mass destruction by any party under any circumstances cannot be justified, describing their use as an attack on humanity as a whole, for which perpetrators must be held accountable. He said their prohibition, including through the Biological Weapons Convention, is among the world’s most important achievements, and that maintaining consensus on their prohibition is part of the Council’s responsibility to maintain international peace and security…”
“The representative of the Russian Federation, taking the floor again, took issue with statements that were “literally repeated” from the Council’s 11 March meeting, adding that “if you have heard nothing new, it is because you were not listening to us”. His delegation provided new material and documents, which it disseminated. These documents have signatures, prepared on the basis of cooperation between the United States and Ukraine. He cautioned the representative of the United States against making unfounded accusations about Russian propaganda, and to instead answer the questions raised. He denounced accusations that the Russian Federation would deploy biological chemical weapons against Ukraine, when in fact it officially warned that it has information about Ukrainian nationalists using chemical agents in some regions, and then accusing Moscow of having deployed them. “This is a false flag operation,” he clarified. He also did not say that Ukraine has a military biological programme. Rather, he said the programme belongs to the United States and that Ukraine “is being kept in the dark”. He also offered facts about the spike in lethal diseases in Ukraine, for which there are no explanations, but which could be linked to this kind of activity. Secret military programmes are not shared with the United Nations “or anyone else”, he said, noting that the Russian Federation would keep the Council abreast of new facts, which he assured would soon be revealed.”

The sanctions may even have helped Russia, as it has now pegged the ruble to gold. Which implies a return to the time-tested gold standard.

Like Covid, the Ukraine show will be used to exacerbate global supply chain problems and damage industries which will bring down advanced economies and “bridge the gap” between rich and poor countries. A Global, centralised government cannot survive if some countries are filthy rich and some are eating dirt. If it takes a wider “war” then no doubt we’ll get one.
I wouldn’t put all my money on Putin, given that his predecessors ALL worked for the global Money Changers.
Yes, however Putin has factored this all in and is coping economically with it all quite well – but it is the West that is in trouble because of all the sanctions, not Russia – it has shot itself in the foot big time and all the nations that go along with it will pay a heavy price, or rather the people will in terms of rising prices, energy prices, unemployment, etc. Its absolutely stupid beyond belief.
Russia is not alone though and has some powerful friends. The truth of what is really happening in Ukraine is coming out, there are independent journalists on the ground there and reporting what Ukrainian civilians are saying – its quite a different story to that portrayed by the West. I don’t think Russia will allow it to go on for years…they will step up their strategy.
Jen: Your right that Washington want’s this show to run. It is now presumed, that after Donbas falls, NATO intends to orchestrate an insurgency war, based in west Ukraine. Like they did in Syria.
How Russia responds will be interesting, it can either conduct an anti-guerilla war, or replicate it’s successful eastern operations in the west.
Wars are expensive, and break economies, Russia knows this, so they would prefer to tie this up, and remain financially strong.
The West would prefer to weaken Russia via a needless, and prolonged conflict.
Another reason is Azov cannot surrender,they know their lives will be forfeit due to the atrocities they have committed… and the West wants to keep this going anyway, they all have to do as they are told. A French journalist reported that its the US running this war. The truth is out there for anyone that looks for it, turn off the TV because you will not find it there.

I think the thing is Azov won’t let anyone surrender, they have even killed fleeing Ukranian civilians. An independent journalist on the ground there reported recently on a video that French commandos were even being held hostage at the steel plant by Azov. Russia Offers Ukrainian Stronghold Chance To Surrender
Moscow promises to spare the lives of “nationalist militants” and “foreign mercenaries” in Mariupol
The Russian Defense Ministry has called on the remaining Ukrainian forces, besieged at a steel plant in the coastal city of Mariupol, to lay down their arms, offering guarantees of life and safety, if they accept the proposal and halt all hostilities starting Sunday morning. “Considering the catastrophic situation at the Azovstal metallurgical plant, and being guided by purely humane principles, the Russian Armed Forces offer militants of nationalist battalions and foreign mercenaries to stop hostilities and lay down their arms starting 6am Moscow time on April 17, 2022,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a late-night announcement on Saturday. “All who lay down their weapons are guaranteed the preservation of life,” the ministry stated. Earlier on Saturday, Moscow revealed its estimate of Ukrainian casualty numbers, claiming that in the city of Mariupol alone, Kiev has lost more than 4,000 combatants, including “foreign mercenaries” and “Nazis” associated with the notorious Azov and Aidar regiments.

For the past few decades, I have watched these people glued to their sacred TV shrines, with their air of moral superiority, condemning, and nodding their support for the annihilation of all the ‘evil’ people of the World, and how it’s right that they must be destroyed!, you know, Kaiser Bill, Adolf, Ho Chi Minh, the Argies, Saddam, Gaddafi, Assad, the Iranians, every un-bought African leader, etc, ad Infinitum. If they were told the Dalai Lama was evil, and had to be destroyed, – they would go along with it.
At no point were these morally obnoxious imbeciles in any danger to the consequence of their support, – but this time is different. And for once, the opportunity has arisen where they could actually end up being nuked. The war will come to them.
Although I am starting to hear the fearful murmurings of such a scenario, the brainwashed numpties, as can only be expected, – point the blame solely on those ‘evil Russians.’

The Weapons of Mass Destruction slander of the Iraq war could never be pulled off again under the guise of whatever you want to call it. I read that the White Helmets were there already… and a friend sent me a post about a French journalist who had just returned to France… he said the US was running everything, they had special forces on the ground there….!! Probably British too.. One journalist said on video that he thought that some French commandos had been captured by Azov and were being held hostage in a steel factory there in exchange for Macron getting Azov out of there… There are lots of behind the scene things going on there that are not in mainstream media.
Another English guy went there on his own to check it own and filmed on his phone.. he said it was like a giant movie set there…
That old saying,”The pot calling the kettle black!” I suppose the US will have the “White Helmets” they put into Syria put into Ukraine. The US had a mole in the Japanese Diet (parliament) who give them the notion of bombing Pearl Harbour.
Lots of fake info and propaganda from the West. I have seen videos from people on the ground there, people who live there, and they tell quite a different story than the West does… e.g. the killing of civilians by Ukraine army if they try to leave or if they think they are collaborating with Russians, looting, torture etc. When they capture Russian soldiers they torture then, hog tie them and shoot them in the knees and other parts of the body before killing them – its all on video and the Russian people have seen those videos and are 100% behind Putin.
Putin is conducting a strategic well planned war and trying to avoid harming civilians.. unlike the West that just carpet bombs everything, women, children etc and then just waltzes in to mop up afterwards. Putin is not doing this… it is all very methodical, and he is winning, even if the West says otherwise.
The West has conveniently ignored that fact that Ukraine has been bombing and killing the citizens there for the past 8 years and this is one of the reasons Putin went in – to free them, to save them. Even with Russian troops there, Ukraine is still attacking Donbass !
The MSM has not been a reliable and genuine source of genuine information for yonks. Anyone who is silly enough to fall victim to its propaganda and its manipulation of public opinion chooses to be obtuse and deserves to live in their ignorance masked as their reality.
