George Christensen, delivers his final parliamentary speech, touching on reasons why he is leaving parliament, achievements, COVID response, the sugar industry, banks, insurance, and the broken state of politics, as well as his assessment of priorities for conservatives.
Corporate Government, corruption, covid lockdown, Federal Politics
Yes, I do appreciate Christensen resigning and standing up for truth during the c$vid debacle which our politicians so happily gave us. But I don’t recall him saying anything really noteworthy prior to announcing his resignation.
A case of too little too late for Australia, never mind George’s lobbying for local grants.
Hi Editor , Excellent speech by George Christensen !! – can we get a transcript please ? One of the problems will be that we will now have two less good politicians in Fed Parliament opposing corrupt corporate governance ( George and Concetta Fierravanti-Wells ). And , if we canât replace Morrison and some of his cronies with some good Independents we will probably end up with Albo and all his commo mates ( talk about from the frying pan into the fire!) George Christensen. One of our Watchmen. He has my admiration and I thank him for his efforts for us.
I agree with you all.
George Christensen I wish you had been our PM.
May your words be a legacy to honesty and godly values.
God bless you
Yes, sad to see him go because he was one of the few normal human beings in Parliament.
But for me, it is even sadder that he does not understand that the entire Parliament exists to prevent democracy.
The Westminster system is a sop to the people, to create the illusion that we commoners determine our own future. In England, the opposite is more obvious, in that the House of Lords clearly has the ascendancy, and since Thatcher replaced worker representation with globalist representation, that is a seamless transition to globalist/aristocracy rule.
Here in Australia, unless you are already a household name, you cannot become the people’s representative unless the Preselection Committee clears you as 100% submissive, or at the very least, have character flaws that will enable later blackmail. Paedophilia is the favourite leverage.
But none of this is democracy. It is only democracy when you and I contribute directly and freely to local, regional, and national policy.
George came and went without ever understanding this.
‘a sheltered workshop for people who can’t think for themselves’ – that’s the best description of the government I’ve heard! All the best to this man who actually does think.
I totally understand his situation – but at the end of it all – Yet another good one, gone.
sad to know he is leaving! A man who is telling the Truth even when threatened is a Man I will salute! Thank you George.
When I first heard of George it was the press and Govt bullying and haranguing him – Straight up I knew he was a good guy! I find my self identifying 100% with his values – sad to see him go – we need many more like him..I wish him well..
