With the biggest police presence in 20 years, the government had announced that it was going to completely lock down the city of Melbourne. So when I cycled to the city this morning I was not sure how the planned protest would unfold. Twenty minutes before 12pm I got a message saying the crowds were meeting at Bridge Road in Richmond.
A smaller than usual crowd had found its way there, and as the police advanced from both sides, the crowd took the side streets. The police seemingly backed off at first, but then attempted to block the crowd in from both sides. A stalemate developed as the protesters were slowly crushed into a smaller and smaller area. Forget social distancing.
People then began jumping a fence and this set the march off across the Yarra River towards Kew. The crowd, blocked again, detoured down Barkers street — a cutting through the hillside. For a good camera view, I took to the cycle path above to see a heavy police presence waiting at the bottom of the cutting. More police quickly blocked escape by coming up behind trapping the protestors.
I’m not quite sure what the police expected — but the whole pincer and trapping strategy could only lead to one conclusion: a charge to evade being trapped. The action was inciting ‘action’ — deliberately. You can see in the video how it unfolded.

It would be wonderful if Mrs K***** H**ly also filed a Federal Court suit against Andrews, the Police Commissioner and the two cops involved and they all got a 3 year spell in gaol to think about what heroes they are. Sec 28, commonwealth Crimes Act 1914.
That would put a quick end to the heroics of some of the cretins hiding behind state police badges.

Recently US alt news channels are reporting that our guns were taken away but I recall
Aussies willingly sold their guns after the staged Port Arthur Massacre in two government buy backs.
They took MSM reports and docos of Port Arthur as the truth, i.e. the majority did.

We must call on the Governor of Victoria to sack Daniel Andrews and Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton for breaching their oaths of office. Further, charges should be brought against both of them for inciting the police force to violence against the people and other crimes against the people. There are no bad soldiers, just bad officers. These two men have allowed their egos to distort their judgement, they have destroyed good government, any respect the police may once have had and trampled the rights of Australians to voice political dissent.
It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and seconds to destroy it. This week, Dan Andrews and Shane Patton have destroyed every future Australian government’s ability to criticise any tinpot dictator abusing human rights. From now on, they’ll just show footage like this and worse, of police shooting on the Australian people.
I call on everyone, to petition the Governor of Victoria to sack and arrest these two men. The only way for Australia to redeem our reputation, is to hold these men to account and treat them as criminals for crossing the line. Please share this everywhere.

It’s Constitutional to have non violent Protests when you trap a crowd of that size with Police on either side only way was to on through. You could see that the Police were the ones inciting an incident and the Police were out matched by the Crowd. It was though the Police were like Skittles.

What a hero the Policeman (Bloody Copper) is. Take his uniform and gun and spray and he would run from the lady. As he is the most gutless I have ever seen. If the Commissioner does not charge and dismiss him than he also fits my comments.
As a retired Policeman, I am tired of seeing excessive force being used against the people, while crying that they have a right to go home from work unharmed.
This elderly lady posed no threat whatsoever, it is criminal to harm her for protesting!
I may also add that Chemical Agents which Pepper Spray is, were banned under the Geneva Convention!
So to all you protestors exercising your right to protest against Tyranny, I recommend you all start carrying Johnson No More Tears.
Just about all Police Officers I know carry a little bottle of Children’s No more Tears just in case they catch a secondary blast from another officer.
Simply apply an amount of the size of a 20 cent piece into you r hand and gently rub directly into the effected eyes and rinse liberally with water.
Better yet carry a premixed spray bottle with you so you can administer first aide to yourself or others affected from Capsicum Spray (Pepper Spray).
It will drastically reduce the effects of Pepper spray and keep you back in the fight within minutes!

Absolute mongrels.There was zero, zilch, no, lawful justification for this action by police. I am a retired copper but am absolutely disgusted at some of the actions I now see on the TV from Victoria’s Police. This is unlawful, an absolute abuse of their use of force model, and not dissimilar to the George Floyd incident. I can’t comment on any other acts that day where the response may have been appropriate and proportionate, but these types of incidents now seen regularly on TV are a huge negative for VicPol. This will take a generation or more to reverse once they come to the senses. Get a grip fellas, this is not on, you are turning even your mates against you.
