Earlier this evening I did an online payment of five k to someone I know in australia. Westpac decided it was a scam and called me, left a message and asked to call them back as the payment had been suspended. After waiting twenty minutes online I answered all their security questions, assured them the payment was gong to someone I know and there were no problems as far as I was concerned. What is the money for she asked? That’s none of your business I replied. It’s my money and how I choose to spend it is my business no one else’s. It went down hill from there fairly quickly…she refused to put the payment through and said any further payments would just bounce back into my account. I have now been suspended from accessing my account online. A couple of other women have said recently that they have been questioned by branch staff when withdrawing cash as to what it was for and not being allowed access without giving a reason. Has anyone else had this problem…is it a certain demographic they are targeting…what is going on?

Just say you have a pokies habit if you get asked why such a large amount. Pokies are legal. They can shove it
I went to CBA today and they asked questions as to why i was wanting to transfer money from one account to another but they didnt harass me. All you have to do is sound like you need the money to help pay bills or renovate your house or something like that. Make up some BS. You dont need to owe them an explanation. Just tell them you need your money. They cant refuse to serve you. If they do , change banks.
When you command a monopoly ( just 6 banks allowed in Australia) you can dictate any policy or conversation you can dream up… but when the big 6 realise the people are not being fooled back down is required..ED
ANZ were good, 10k withdrawal, no questions of any kind
I rang ANZ yesterday to advise them I wanted 10k cash; they said no problem with withdrawals up to, but not exceeding that amount as far as booking was concerned. I am still expecting them to raise Q’s as to why I want it; but have a few answers, such as a bulk Fairy Floss purchase ready. 🙂 Will report back and let you guys know what happens.
ITS the N W O , remember the greeks and the Bail ins Thats where they Take yours to pay theirs , Remember tha Facist Schwab you,ll have no money or own a house or a car and you,ll be happy , This would be a Sick joke if it was not fairdinkum, what REALLY astounds me is some on this page have HAD the jab and now complain .
Has anyone had anything similar happen in credit unions or smaller banks ie Bank of Queensland
I had this exact same thing happen last week at NAB.
Hi, i am in south Australia. I have have had pretty well 2 stand up brawls with bank tellers in 2 different branches. Same deal except i was there in person . On both occasions , and both for 10 k i was asked what it was for. I said none of your business and it was on . The 1st time they were playing the ……………. WE are concerned your not being scammed because since the plannedemic, so many are being scammed. I do not cower easily, stood my ground and made a scene. They gave me my money . I walked out fuming. The second time, different branch, i had already rang 2 days prior to tell them i would be in to withdraw $10k. BUT when i go in again they want to know why i want the money ? Again i say it is none of your business. She said well if you don’t tell me i will not give it to you, and i don’t know why you are being so secretive. I said i am not being secretive, the problem here is you have overstepped your mark. She then said if i don’t tell her the reason she would phone the fraud squad. I said lady i don’t care what reason you write on your little screen there, put a car, bus, puppy whatever and if not then call the fraud squad, call the cops, call the queen of England, i don’t give a fat rats arse BUT understand if i don’t get my money in the next couple of minutes then instead close the account and hand me a cheque for the entire amount. She said right i am making a phone call . When she came back she handed me the money . When i got home i told my husband we had to start drawing smaller amounts out of our accounts and try to get out as much as possible before the shit hits the fan, because you know as well as i do that it is just around the corner. Tell your subscribers to make sure they have enough food , prescriptions filled, basics etc to get you thru for a couple of months just in case. Do not be one of the sheep standing in long queues to get FOOD RATIONS. Think of everything you need for your family and pets . Just do it . It is coming . It is time for everyday easy going Aussies to stand up. If we don’t , we are doomed . They are not hiding it anymore, This is our wake up call. The New World Order has shown its teeth and it is coming for us. Everybody like it or not, will need to grow a pair.
Thank you for all your comments. I have spent today organising full access to another bank account that I have. I also went into my local Westpac branch to get a bank cheque…$10 if u don’t mind…and the teller said to me “ I just have to ask a few security questions. What is this money for?” I informed her that it is unlawful for her to even ask me that question as I have a right to privacy. She typed furiously and I heard some pings go off in the managers office who then came out to talk to me, very nicely of course, though I think she knew from the look on my face that she was wasting her time. So I got my cheque. But I still didn’t have internet access. So another half an hour this evening listening to their spiel in order to get my access returned.
My feeling now is that this is another aspect of the big scare campaign and the not so subtle movement of us into communism/totalitarianism/fascism. They make it sound like they are looking after us and are concerned for our welfare. Except I neither need nor want nannying.
As someone remarked today “how do these conmen get hundreds of thousands sent overseas from aussies when I can’t get 5k sent to someone in my neighbourhood”.
Like a lot of things lately it’s not adding up. As others have said Withdraw from Westpac; I would add to that sentiment: have a goodly amount of cash on hand and stock up big on non perishables.

I wonder if credit unions are better.
‘Which Bank’…… could anyone recommended using. Forgive the pun
Whenever I extract my cash in high volumes – under 10k – I tell the ‘teller’ when asked what do I intend to it spend on – I say I’m weaning myself off of my credit card. No come back from that one. Suncorp. Try it, it works a treat for me 🙂
We had the same with Westpac a year ago.We pulled 5,000 out for renovations…large carport and cement paths.
The teller asked it casually and in a nice way so we thought nothing of it.
A couple of months ago we withdrew 2,000…no questions were asked.
As you say, it is none of their business.
I thought the limit was $10,000? Have they changed it without telling us?
i do not trust Morrison…he is trying to bring in bail-in, where they can take your money.
We noticed tonight on the financial news that all banks were down.
Make sure your cash is safe.
The bank wouldn’t blink if you sent $3K then $2K.
The Bank legally owns your money, because when you deposited it you Paid To: the Bank on your deposit slip.A friend was trying to withdraw $50k one time, and was refused cash. EFT and cheque were fine, but not cash. After an amount of argy-bargy the teller told my friend that the money is legally theirs. And this is true.See my Council Coffers document,, which raises the question as to whether funds deposited as rates to your local council remain as Municipal fund, or whether the funds are actually legally owned by the council. The Banking Act mentioned needs looking at. You can, though, stipulate to the Bank that you are depositing lawful money that remains your property.Anna von Reitz has a lot t say about that. Some documents: http://annavonreitz.com/replytosuntzu.pdf

I have been scammed and would have for even more money, except thankfully the bank were suspicious and stopped the transaction. The scammers are very good at getting money from unsuspecting members of the public.
Happened to me also with Heritage and other banks. Changing banks is not the answer. Giving them a good excuse is the best way to play the game with them. Saying I want to put it into my own bank or safe is not a valid reason. You could be money laundering, guilty until proven innocent. You have given the bank a loan, they may or may not pay you back. If they get into trouble, you may be subject to a bail in. The government guarantee is only after the bank collapses. Best to keep your money in Gold & Silver. Get ready for the Great Reset they have planned.
Yes, I can verify that. A couple of months ago Westpac asked me what I was using my money for and of course I arced up and told them none of their bloody business what I spend my money on. It is my my money and I will do with what I want. Now this young bloke backed down and back peddled coming up with some lame excuse, but needless to say they crossed the line. I think I recall UBank questioned me a few months ago in a similar manner, and my reaction was exactly the same. No wonder everyone wants to withdraw their money out of these filthy Cabal Globalists and Rothchild banks. Clearly the scum of human society.
Start a foundation. It is private and no one has the can request to look at your records.

Close the account and file against the bank for breach of contract,
but here is the warning. Remove your money from the bank $1000 at a time from the ATM daily.
Frank. Yes it happened to me at St George. I withdrew a larger amount and they rang the fraud squad. They wanted to know if I was drawing that amount out for someone else and in return they would give me counterfeit money. Honestly! Why would I pass around counterfeit money?
Hi, yes, ANZ asked me some 18 months or so ago why I wanted 30k; like you I thought to say none of your business; but opted to say “lollipops”; she laughed and wrote that down. I don’t at all agree with the question, but when push comes to shove; just give them some bogus BS. Would recommend you change banks after the way that they have treated you.
I too had an issue with Westpac, although it was not concerning a withdrawal, so I closed my account.
I think the problem is a cultural one. Their customer service people are rude and arrogant. They don’t seem to know the meaning of “Customer Service”.
I would refer the matter to the complaints team.
Yes I have had the same experience with westpac. Not with them anymore, I will -be pleased when the quantum financial system begins.
Seems the best explanation Faye, thanks. Ed
Yip we had the same hassle with the NAB wanting to know what we were buying and why. Went into the nearest branch and kicked up an utter stink and they gave us $100 to have dinner on them as an apology. They are loosing there grip on the people.
Kind regards

Words fail me. Maybe one doesn’t, that be “FASCISM:
Hopefully every last banker is in jail soon.
I have experienced this with Westpac as I attempted with ample funds to join Solutions Empowerment. I was barred to make transfer.
This is disconcerting as now our hard earned money is now being censored as well as our words. I have changed banks.
Good Grief!! I didn’t know this; if you make a transaction / payment that is at or above $5k you are going to get flagged and questioned about it by your bank. If you don’t cooperate with the questions they are going to ask you, I.e: “What is this payment for”, you are going to have all access to all of your money frozen. I wonder if the banks are also required to pass onto to the federal government details of every transaction that is equal or above $5k? The Mark of the Beast is now imminent.
It may be too late in the game to get your money out in cash. Ten years ago I cashed in my account and the same question was asked but without the refusal to supply. I told the manager was buying a sail boat and the seller wanted cash rather than a bank cheque. You must use diplomacy in any case. Perhaps “It’s not their business” sounds too callous, and it’s preferable to go the matter is of a private and personal nature.
Thanks for sharing this common story.
This is becoming the norm unfortunately. The post office seems to be the best option as they don’t ask 20 questions.
Wanting us to be accountable is their way of control as we appear guilty before starting.
Cheers Don
Change your bank!
They have run out of fiat money. The new QFS , backed by Gold and silver, is kicking in.
