This is a boneyard near Paris, France with hundreds of electric powered cars. Mind you these are only cars used by the City of Paris and not personal vehicles. All of these have the same issue,…. the battery storage cells have given out and need replacing Why not just replace them you ask? Well two reasons. First the battery storage cells cost almost double what the vehicle cost when new, and second no landfill or disposals will allow the batteries to be disposed of there. So these green fairy tale electric cars are all sitting in vacant lots while their batteries drain toxins into the ground.
Still think we need to go green???
Nah from a very informed contributor. Editor
All part of the agenda 30, lefties are clueless! Impossible to run an electric car in Australia! Costs of transportation would sky rocket!@
Trust the Frogs to go overboard with an unethical idea!
And thank GOD, Australia is blessed with coal!
1. battery cells last over 10 years and then can be used for a further additional 10 years to power houses – so what is being stated is untrue 2. Batteries are increasingly being recycled (that is after 20 years of use in a car and to power a house 3. Ranges of 400 and 500 kilometers are common in electric cars now (The VW ID3 and 4 for example) – so the editor of this paper is misleading the public yet again 4. There are many different kinds of charging facilities available with many different rates of charging – including home charging facilities – he is deliberately selecting the slowest one and suggesting that it represents all chargers – which is misleading and false. 5. New battery technology that is coming (including discoveries in QLD) will recharge in minutes. 6. He totally overlooks rooftop trading of electricity using electric cars and the economic impact this will have – So there are 6 problems with this very dodgy article – obviously from an ignorant redneck editor.
And all that is to say nothing of the enormous pollution generated by the original production of the batteries in the first place.

Going Green is better they say, fine with Solar Electricity that indeed saves you hundreds a year even if possibly got to pay Tax or need to use more appliances so none goes back on the grid. With Electric Cars that battery cost double the cost of the car, I wonder how many have considered to go back to petrol driven cars 🤔🤔🤔 Petrol Driven cars batteries are under 200 bucks and can last years if battery is looked after well during services. I will stick to my unleaded Ford Falcon any day of the week.
