I see nothing to make me worry about reinfection with the same variant, but reinfection by P1 seems to be very common in Brazil. And I can find no hard data indicating the vaccines we use here will stop it.
South African reports were of high numbers of reinfections and young people becoming seriously ill. Pfizer had clinical trial data indicating their vaccine works against that one, B1351, but nothing on P1 so far.
And I can find nothing on Moderna vaccine efficacy against any variant, so far. Johnson and Johnson, some efficacy against South African type, but nothing on Brazilian
It is a big mess. I do not understand why we did not send people into Manaus and South Africa with our vaccines and do a study soon after their outbreaks, or at least after variants were suspected to be causing them.
Without more hard data, it seems like we do not know if our vaccination program here is stopping the virus, or just delaying it until the variants get to higher numbers.
Me: Read somewhere that this new “P” strain is just starting to seed parts of America.
Off with the old, on with the new, as the old saying goes.
Me: This is a really clever virus and it will continue to evolve and try and find ways to get around each test vaccine, in itself, providing an ongoing source of financial wealth to the makers of more “test” vaccines, which they cannot be prosecuted for.
Why do you think, each time those of you get a yearly vaccine, (never me) it is different from the last one – that is because the new Flu virus is stronger than the last one and last years vaccines don’t work on this years one – Get my drift?

“We” need to come at viruses from a whole new direction and one that does work and costs nothing to prepare and do.

I am one person. A lot like David (me Richard) & Goliath. I can only do so much, I need you out there to push my advice hither and yon. I don’t need to be credited for it, you can have that honor – but if “we” don’t help each other, then at days end, what have we, really all got, to look forwards too?

Once it is taken up by the multitude, in favor of “not having a test vaccine first”, then in time, all viruses will cease to exist as a threat, in our world.

Eventually, we will be able to live without ever having an expectation of ever getting another virus that we cannot kill, ourselves and the companies which support untested vaccines, will have a place in distant memory.

What then of the 2.2 million (uninformed) so far, who have died around the world and were their deaths necessary?

Try “my” salt water treatment with those on voluntary lock-down for 10 to 14 days, waiting to get their Covid disease, so they can be medically treated by virologists “and saved”, instead.

Try my salt water treatment on those with Covid, in hospitals and other treatment facilities, before they get vaccinated, but only as a last resort..

Get qualified feedback of the veracity of my salt water cure and pass the word around so that more countries put it on their list of possible cures – after all, it is free and nobody should gain “money” from it.

There are always untested vaccines as a last resort, instead of never being the first resort, right?

I will prepare a list of my wacky cures, it will take a few days, probably to knock them out, being 74 and a survivor thus far (smile)
