Amazon will store your phone data. Australian tech companies overlooked
Australians silly enough to load a tracing app on their phones could have their data accessed by United States law enforcement but not by Australian police.
The Federal Government has awarded a tender to Amazon Web Services to store data from the tracing app which is claimed to alert health authorities if you have been in close contact with a person carrying Coronavirus.
The app is designed to identify the movement of Australians who have tested positive to COVID-19.
There are so few people who tested positive to the virus if taken as a percentage of the population that the app would be insignificant in helping to stop the virus from spreading, particularly in areas where there is poor or no phone reception.
As of today there are 6667 confirmed cases of Coronavirus throughout the Australian population of 25,445,020. How is a phone app going to make any difference to further infections? There are better odds for winning the Lotto.
Relying on Bluetooth technology, the app will identify other phones using the app that have been within a 1.5 metre range for at least 15 minutes.
The app logs and encrypts that contact on the phone. Later, if a person using the app tests positive to COVID-19, they would be asked to download their encrypted contact log and send it to the Government, which will store it in the Amazon cloud.
State and territory health authorities will then be able to access the cloud, decrypt the data and contact those who were in close proximity to the COVID-positive person.
The Government has previously security vetted two giant US corporations to provide secure cloud storage — Microsoft and Amazon.
Since September 2013, the Commonwealth Government has published contracts with AWS worth more than $116 million.
The departments of health, defence and agriculture have all issued cloud storage contracts to AWS, as has the Australian Signals Directorate.
In June last year the Digital Transformation Agency published details of a $55 million contract with Amazon Web Services for a “whole of government agreement” which runs until April 2022.
Awarding the contract to Amazon may also mean the Australian data is obtainable by US law enforcement under a 2018 law that allows them to obtain information held by US-registered data companies no matter where in the world that information is held.

PM Scott Morrison said on Sky News recently he had spoken to Bill Gates and asked how long before the vaccine is available.
In other words you will lose your place in society if you don’t comply with the compulsory vaccine developed by Gates which is laced with electronic receptors. Among a host of other restrictions, you will not be able to partake in any commerce, buy food at a supermarket, access any government services or money or send your kids to school.

My wife and I both have mobile phones. We live in a remote country location and use these phones for emergency in vehicles when we leave home and for nothing else. So any snooping by government is going to get them absolutely nothing aside a trip to the nearest town. The question is are these “Nosey Parkers” going to BUG our standard landline phone as well.? It all sounds incredibly like “Invasion of Personal Privacy” by blundering fools.

Love the omission of data in the article. This is straight from Gov covid website.
“Of the 6,667 confirmed cases in Australia, 76 have died and 5,095 have been reported as recovered from COVID-19. More than 474,000 tests have been conducted across Australia.”
So that leaves 1572 confirmed and isolated cases. Say no to the government app.
I don’t/ will never use Amazon.. I Rarely have my phone on and will be getting a basic flip phone that can only use 3G – I have no wifi / cordless home phones etc.. We must NOT buy anything that is 5G and tell the companies so..
I have been screaming and yelling for years (many think I am mad, but ya get that). Just lately I have noticed many more people responding as “the lock-down” continues. I can’t even listen to “news” let alone watch it. With the total blanket of lies, deliberate deceit and propaganda many realize there is an agenda behind it all. I see hope!
That is so very wrong. I don’t agree with the tracking to begin with, but that makes it so obvious what it is really for. How can people be so blind? I also struggle to believe and accept how far the govt has allowed itself to be dragged into the net.
Will wonders never cease? I watched in amazement as Bronwyn Bishop and Campbell Newman last night ‘vehemently opposed’ the use of the tracking app (that the government promises won’t really track us). It was heartwarming to see the fight in them both against this, given their deep involvement in government in the past. Bishop stating that after 30 years in government she knows exactly what would really happen and loudly insisted we should never give up our freedoms as once gone we will never get them back!

Judging by the comments both here and in the wider community, to say nothing of Christians worldwide, they might be surprised to find that the (elsewhere quoted), “despicable society”, is of sufficient volume to be self sufficient without “government” sanction.Thereby they lose total control of (hopefully) a large part of the population of the Earth.
