Bob Katter took part in a recent western shoot at the Mareeba SSAA range. He joked that this might be the best way to bring the banks into line. Bob says KAP is the only party in Queensland that wants to do away with firearms registration which has been a long-held policy. Bob spent some time shooting at the range with pistol, rifle and shotgun. His pistol ability did not go unnoticed by the club. They want him to come back for a day’s competition. The veteran politician warns that if the Labor Party gets re-elected in Queensland with a majority, the state’s 600,000 shooters will be faced with restrictions on ammunition sales and even tighter restrictions on gun ownership. He says the ALP and LNP simply hate guns.
Absolutely well said mate go and chase the criminals not the law abbidding all they have done with the NFA and the firearms registry is creat the black market that we see thriving today were as before it was not really a big problem.
Your comment is not based on any accurate information, iust greenie, commie propaganda. Do some research, go to a gun range, do some shooting, go for a hunt with some law abiding citizens and then at.least you will know what our gun laws look like in real life. Like a.lot of people, you’ve likely never even read the weapons act or regulations, nor the criminal code. If you had, you’d realize how out of touch you were with reality. Also, with 2 million licenced firearms owners in this country with @10 million firearms between them and millions of rounds of ammunition, the statistics only emphasize my point further that firearms owners are definitely NOT the problem. That would be criminals and our justice system.
I suggest you actually go a do actual research as your average US citizen uses their firearms two and a half million times per year to stop crime from occurring and yes that involves mass shootings as well I’ll think you’ll find that mass shootings are stopped so often by someone with a ccw permit that it’s come place and the controlled media doesn’t show it that that is not in their agenda I suggest you check out John Lott more guns less crime and not to mention at least another 5-6 more independent researchers who all have come to the same conclusion.

Not one terrorist attack or mass shooting has ever been stopped or prevented by civilians carrying or possessing guns but a lot of people have been murdered including murder suicides by ordinary every day people where for various reasons their lives go astray .most of these reasons given above why gun ownership should be open slather are just from the fringe antisocial and are not backed up by logic . We don’t want to go down the American way where now mass murder is so common that unless there is more than four victims it doesn’t make the news

Again its highlighted plainly again after yesterdays terrorist attacks in the UK and Paris the need for the Australian people to have laws on the books, guarantying you the right of self defence. The Australian constitution should be changed to reflect such laws it could read as follows,
For the preservation of a free democratic state and the people there within, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A free people of the commonwealth of Australia have an inalienable right of self defence. In the preservation of life liberty and freedom and the removal of tyranny in all its forms.
The founding fathers of the newly created US constitution and the bill of rights, knew all to well what would or could happen if your government went rouge and out of control.
Basically tyrannical they put checks and balances in place to stop an overreaching government, its a shame that we have not taken notice as we have drifted so far left that we are no longer recognizable from the time of our own constitutions inception. We must get back to that original rugged spirit, or as we see Europe collapsing under the Islamic invasion and take over we will experience the same fate here in Australia if we allow it to happen and continue on as we are progressing today.
Absobloodyloutly pro gun wins my vote all the time that’s how it should always be because the opposite is like us living in China or Nth Korea or Mexico, Wake up folks and stir some hell and get it done the people in this country need their own version of the 2nd amendment and we need it fast . Before we reach the point of no return and our continuous porous boarders burst as they have in Europe with 10 million refuges, let in over the last 5 years and now look at it its ca-lapsing and becoming like a third world country like down town Beirut.

Thanks Brad we ran an article last year describing how a number of pistol owners were targeted in a NSW suburb. More then 20 pistols were stolen from these gun club members whose firearm details and addresses could only have come from the NSW Firearms Registry.Ed
Both canada & NZ abolished their long gun registries because they concluded that they are of no net gain. Firearms registries are exceedingly expensive to run & other than being used to return lost & stolen firearms to registered owners have never been useless in “solving ” guncrime but have been easily hacked by criminal organisations& compromised by corrupt police & civilian employees exposing the details recorded in the database of law abiding firearms owners giving criminals a virtual shopping list of who has what & where exposing these law abiding citizens to the prospect of burgulary & in some cases violent home invasions & assaults .
In answer to your question there is no level playing field there is only the have and the have nots the elites who walk around 24/7 with armed guards while they dictate to you you can’t have the same you need to be a victim of the scum of society thats out there praying on the weak and the disarmed society that can not defend themselves while the criminals have all the guns they want and get get away with anything they want. WAKE UP PEOPLE
I think if criminals can have guns and don’t register them we all should be allowed to own a gun and not have to register them. Where is the level playing field of life.
