‘Eat More Beef’
Lately, there’s been a fierce argument about whether red meat is good for you or the worst thing ever.
Some folks claim that red meat will cause heart disease and make you gain a bunch of weight.
Other experts think that red meat is a key part of a healthy diet.
I’m happy to report that the red meat fans are right!
And that’s good news for you because not only is steak delicious, it’s also great for your health and weight loss. It can accelerate fat burning and supply essential vitamins and minerals.
Here’s exactly why red meat is so good for you:
Reason 1 – Tons of Essentials Vitamins
Unprocessed red meat is loaded with vitamin B and D, two essential nutrients. Vitamin B deficiency is associated with premature aging, neurological disease, cancer, heart disease and infertility. Crazy right?
But a juicy steak is chock full of Vitamin B and it’s very easy for your body to absorb.
Also, red meat has a lot of vitamin D. If you don’t eat a lot of oily fish or spend all day sunbathing, you’re probably vitamin D deficient. Shortages of vitamin D lead to bone problems like rickets and osteoporosis. Eat some red meat every week and your body will get plenty of vitamin D.
Reason 2 – Fat Burning Protein!
Red meat also has a ton of fat burning protein in every portion. This protein makes you feel full and satisfied after a meal. And it takes the most energy for the body to digest, so it boosts the amount of fat your body burns after you eat.
You’ll eat less and burn more fat with red meat.
Reason 3 – Lots of Healthy Fats
If you’re eating grass-fed beef (which I highly recommend) you’re also going to get a bunch of heart-health Omega-3 fatty acids. Researchers have shown that these reduce the risk of heart disease, improve cognitive function, and much more.
